What should i do now i've finished 2.0!

Hi guys, only just finished the 2.0 storyline and now i just dont know what to do! i've got my iLevel to near 70 and dont know whether or not to focus on getting that higher so i can do other raids or to focus on the story until i keep getting made to increase my iLevel! argh the choices!

Recently i've been getting deeply immersed in the Hildebrand quests and enjoying them as a Manderville man can!

Personally I would do a bit of both, continue the quests but make sure you are doing your daily/weekly stuff as you can do them. Unlock as many dungeons as you can so you can start building your item level with the Soldiery tomestone gear, then work on Crystal Tower Saga so you can run Syrcus tower and get sands of time to upgrade your Soldiery Armor to i110 soldiery armor. From there you can probably finish all the story content easily including Hildebrand side story stuff.

See i started to try and unlock crystal tower but then you end up trying to do the FATE's on your own to unlock and no one helps you :/

If you don't have a Free Company or a Linkshell, I recommend joining at least a Linkshell. (if you go to Mor Dhona or a popular city-state there is usually someone shouting about recruiting/joining a LS) :/

I assume when you say you've completed the '2.0 story', you really mean you've completed Operation Archon and destroyed the Ultima Weapon. Therefore, what you should now do is... continue the story!

There have been five major content patches that have extended the storyline beyond this point and will ultimately lead into the new Heavensward expansion pack story next month - 2.1 A Realm Awoken, 2.2 Through the Maelstrom, 2.3 Defenders of Eorzea, 2.4 Dreams of Ice and finally 2.5 Before the Fall. As Heavensward requires all these patch storylines to be completed before you can begin or even access the new areas being added in the expansion, it should go without saying you should get yourself caught up before that date. ;)

Go back to the Waking Sands in Vesper Bay and Minfilia will have a new story quest for you, and take it from there (it would also be worthwhile to grab the Hard Mode Primal fight quests from Urianger as well while you're there, as these are required for your relic weapon quest). ;)

i have a free company (the dark mortals) but generally they are busy with Raids or other stuff. dont remember hearing about link shells. i'll have to look them up and have a go :) but generally focus on getting story done with a few quests here and there? want to make sure im done for expansion

yeah i've started the 2.1 storyline. just wasnt sure whether or not to continue or to increase my iLevel and such before hand. and i've done hard primals and got my relic weapon. im up to extreme garuda now :)

Grind soldiery tomes first and get your SMN or SCH to i100 first. As the main story requires you to be at least i90, this will be your main objective in order to catch up on Heavensward. Considering you'll have to do a few side-quests in order to unlock the hard dungeons, you'll also get soldiery bonuses for clearing the dungeons, so do those and you will rack up on soldiery rapidly. So get your full soldiery set (for SCN or SMN) then focus on MSQ.

You can forget about the Crystal Tower and Coil arcs if you only have a month for now. Focus on getting i100 and finishing the main story. If you have lots of time, finish anything else if you want. I personnally recommend you finish Hildibrand just the laughs.

Unlock the relic quest to work on your first ilevel 90 weapon. And don't worry, the relic grind only begin after the ilevel 90 weapon.

Definitely finish the continued story as mentioned as it'll be required for heavensward.
As for gearing up your ilevel, with the expansion 2 months away i honestly wouldnt worry too much about it.
I would also suggest unlocking all the new dungeons/raids/trials added after 2.0 such as leviathan and other primals.

otherwise maybe farm up some gear for glamour?

Get a higher ilvl and maybe start poking around coil to see if you like it :p

Maybe it is time to reconsider your Free Company. There are lots of them out there that will be more helpful to people trying to clear content.

Ilv90 is required for some of the later main scenario quests. It's pretty easy to get so I wouldn't sweat it. One way to gear up is by working on unlocking your roulettes. http://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Duty_Roulette A few of the roulette dungeons are attached to the main scenario, but most aren't.

Also someone brought up a good point. You could do the crystal tower quest chain. CT>ST>WoD. Labyrinth of the Ancients and Syrcus Tower only need ilv70. In order to do World of Darkness you'll have to get ilv90 though.

As others have said, work your way into unlocking & completing more of the story. You're going to need to do it to access 3.0 content anyway. While doing so, I'd recommend to as least doing the Main Scenario roulette for the soldiery tomes it offers. Buy soldiery gear with said tomes as these will be able to help you in dungeons that reward you poetics.

The FATEs needed to unlock Labyrinth of the Ancients are solo-able with yourself and a chocobo, so long as the chocobo is a healing chocobo.

If you don't mind grinding FATEs for Atma, the Atma relic should tide you over for a bit, but I would recommend just saving up tomes for a weapon you can use in its place (that way you can go back and advance your relic at your leisure).
