Anyon knows what happened to the 3 dragons, that assisted Nael in the last phase of T9?
We never saw them again.
Its possible that they, like most of that room, were holograms. Almost nothing in that area was 'real'. Sure it could kill you but it was a constructed reality made by Neal using the Allagan Tech in the room.
Yeah more than likely they were holograms.
Or aetheric constructs like Nael and Louisoix. Mostly the same thing, though.
I was under the impression that all the dragons with collars/shackles (like Twintania's in T5) were living Meracydians enslaved to the Coil. Even Bahamut himself wears them (if you look down from his paw in T5 you can see them). When you fight Twin, the Neurolinks that appear on the ground are created whenever one of the many shackles she's wearing break and fall off. Imdugud from T10 is also wearing a sort of device on his head, along with two ankle shackles.
Basically, the Allagans were pro at brainwashing/enslaving dragons. And the fact they even have jars of regular monsters (chimeras and naga) in Second Coil seems to show that they made a habit of using 'living weapons' in general.
While true, the room that the T9 fight is a large hologram chamber. I still suspect they were holograms though they could be enslaved dragons. All the meteors and falling debris was holographic.
I'm kinda of hoping that the Dragons of Meracydia are wiped out so that whole (spoiler) story is over with. The whole "oh yay they're back *groan*" feeling happened in World of Warcraft countless times and I'd hate for this game to repeat that.
It's Final Fantasy. There's tons of primals to resurrect. *Fingers crossed for Anima"
thing is if you don't know that it is fake then your mind will register it as real example. Your thrust into a place you don't know how you got there every thing seams real you get hurt you feel pain.
But actuly its not real your in a virtual space you don't know this so your brain is registering every hit your getting like knife to the back head hit with a bat its all seams real because you don't know its an illusion you could even die because if you say take a fatal blow one you know would kill you since you don't know its not real your taking it like it is.
Ok so quick recap summary.
So your in a virtual space but you dont know you are in one you get your head loped off in said virtual space you still dont know its real so your brain registers it that it is so you pretty much die from shock that summarizes what T9's arena basically is.
The mind is a scary thing.
It was mentioned that Bahamut is in fact one of Midgardsmnr's children. And that we'll learn more about bahamut's (and Meracydian dragons I guess) history.

Oooh, call me excited then! I'll definitely be looking forward to that!
I'm skeptical as to how likely it is that your mind would simply shut down just because you've seen a convincing illusion of your own death. To my knowledge, it's never even come close to having been accomplished in real life to cause someone to die just by convincing them that they are dead. Your mind makes it real isn't, well, real.
However, there's no reason why the hologram chamber needs to be simply holograms. There could be actual props disguised by the illusions. For instance, Heavensfall could be an actual hunk of Allagan metal, glamoured to look like a chunk of Dalamud.
Either way, the real question is why Nael didn't just squash us all if she had the ability to make such a convincing illusion (partly real or not). Why all the dancing with meteors and golems and such? I suppose the answer to that was that Nael was a delusional lunatic, and wanted to orchestrate our deaths according to her elaborate script.
Keep in mind it also has to do with sensual deprivation we didn't know it was an illusion so we thought it was real. For it to have a real impact a few things has to be involved the senses.
Sight if you block this off it has a more powerful effect on convincing the person the illusion is real. In this case it was because we didn't know we were in one.
Touch or in this case pain yes Nael was there so the first hit from him convinces it is real. Going back to sight here for a second seeing a person you know is real get hurt they are convinced it is real too its known that if people are in close proximity to a person who is sick if that person described the symptoms some people will start to feel like they are sick too as to why the mind is a scary thing.
the smell we did get hit by Nael so blood wer bleeding we can smell the blood.
Taste this may be a bit hard but so not going into it.
Now the final and most important one hearing if your sight is blocked off your hearing is intensified so since it was an illusion our sight was pretty much blocked off.
Now the other most important thing to convincing any one an illusion is real. Make it as real as possible.
Yes just because it's an illusion didn't mean you can be convinced if Nael just turns into a giant and just stomps on you it has to seam as real as possible. If you can't convince the person its real it won't work.
Keep in mind this is a theory yes but it dose make more sense than just debris falling down when in a place like a holo projection room would make the thing not work because it needs every bit and piece intact and the slightest opening like the ceiling to let down a heavensfall pillar would ruin the whole illusion.
