I'm still trying to figure out how it's possible to die in non-combat zones. Last night I rez'd someone in Ul'dah who was dead. They were like "I don't even know how that happened!" but they were thankful for the Raise.

I saw a friend die just a bit away from the crystal in Gridania He was poisoned from an S rank that he just came back from. And well someone with low health, despite zone, dies without a heal.

In all honesty it was really funny.

Lol at that guy sitting on top. We have a dead lalafel in Mor Dhona.

If you die in an instance, disconnect, and reconnect after being kicked, you'll show up dead wherever you last were.

Also if you die in duty and disconnect, then wait a while, next time you log in, you'll be sitting dead in where ever you left for the instance from. This once resulted in my dead next to my FC summoning bell.

If you dc while dead in an instance, you die in real life too.

That's not how....it doesn't work that....nevermind...

his character died and then the poor guy had a heart attack, but because he had no family or friends, nobody has found his rotting corpse yet. His character is a monument to a sad life lost that will remain there until his subscription, internet or electricity runs out. Oh what a tragedy!

eh....all of a sudden things took a dark turn lol. I'll have his status updated tomorrow. Wonder if dead people can receive /tell, need to ask what the afterlife is like.

Well, here's my man doing what he does best. Maybe the Cactpot will toss him a rez lol. At this point I think it's our duty to come up with a back story for this scenario, and submit it to SE to make an official side quest out of this.

Ok here goes.

Long long time ago, in the mysterious land of Ultros Server, Primal Data Center; A Roegadyn messiah was born.

However in his youth, he performed many savage deeds. Though killing was his way of life, deep down he knew he had a destiny to fullfill. A duty the Mother Crystal has entrust to him which no one else could bear.

To find his purpose, he decided to emark on a quest. After coming back from Hawaii empty handed, his travels took him to Vegas. It was before the lottery ticket stand, he receivied a /tell from one of the many RMT douchebag Ultron robots.

With a sudden epiphany, he found his calling: He knew he had to die for the sins for the RMT douchebags Ultron robots. On May 9th 2015 7PM. When the Giant Cactpot bell rings, he will reborn like the realm and his destiny will be fullfilled.

So he went to Titan, got his ass knocked off the cliff.

1 day have passed, no one noticed.

2 days have passed, lots of people can't be born on Ultros before 12AM and after 8AM.

3 days have passed, RMT douchebag Ultron robots still relentlessly torture everyone across the world.

4 days have passed, people wish they can /sharpie and /shave.

5 days have passed, finally our Roegadyn savior's tale have been told.

4 more days awaits, how will our hero's tale unfold? Stay tuned 'till next time...

I agree, I don't think it makes sense for people who are not playing the game to never time out, especially if like this topic says it prevents players from joining the same world as their friends.

I'll be honest with you. I never understood why they started kicking at 2.1 or something, then stopped almost right away.
