Hello everyone. Our forums are pretty quiet. Maybe it's because our server has more people speaking other languages - like Japanese - that there is not much activity on the English forum.
Please reply here if you play on Kashuan and check the English forums every now and then. Say something - anything!

If it is any consolation, Bodhums English forum is quiet also, mostly just requests for LS's. Which is nice and all, but it could sure do with livening up, much the same as here :)
Hello people^^
I want to announce that from the 15th September 2011 on our requirements are raised to rank 25. The reasons for this step are, that I want to avoid a high fluctuation, since new players are often undecided If this is the right game for them, so they join, realize that they don´t like the game and vanish. An other reason is that all our members are around rank 20-30 and new member can directly start to make runs with us.
If there are still questions send me a PM here or send me or one of our officers a /tell in game ;)

I visited the Kashuan forum for the other three languages and this is what I found:
Japanese: 3 threads
German: 7 threads
French: 1 thread
Compared to that I guess the English forum is doing pretty well... :0
By the way if you participate in the ongoing event - even if it is just slaying one of the special monsters - you get a new avatar background to use on your Lodestone profile.
Oh and if anyone needs a Square Maple Shield let me know. I feel for all the new gladiators with no shields. ;-;
Does anybody know the other 3 languages? I speak i little Japanese, I tried french but got bored. Just wondering if anybody knew what the others are saying, Google translate can't handle internet phrases and stuff. =)

I hereby raise this thread from the grave. Wonder how many people still check the server forums. Can't help but feel like the population has shrunk a bit. You start to see a lot of the same English speakers online in experience parties and such.
Actually, I'm trying to get an idea of how many English speaking LS there are on our server. While they have mentioned the possibility of a server merge (or choice to move to a new server) in the future, I'm curious to know. Some of the more regular LS that I see (and that I am not a part of) these days are:
Kupo
Diabolic
Clovers
Loyalists
Screenshot
Evil
Evolution
Mystic Eclipse
... any others that you see pretty often?
Server will probably get smaller as well as they're planning to charge for service very soon and a lot of people still seem a bit dissatisfied with the service.
I check these forums from time to time.. but in all honesty, there isn't much you can post at a world-specific server anyway is there?
I lead an LS, might not be the type you're asking about though. We're small, centered on RP/lore-gathering and are quite infrequent players whenever we feel the need to concentrate on other games. It's Mythopoeia for reference, but it's not likely you'd see any of us around often.

I demand SE employ a translator for every server so they can do translations in real time! This will allow all the players to communicate with each other, and we will pay the translator with cake!
Hey all Im Verik ive seen alot of you around in Uldah before so i know a few of you. Just wanted to chime in and say that I think Kashuan is alive and well. English speaking players are a rarity yes but there are good Linkshells out there that are only English ones. I run the Mystic Eclipse LS and if anyone wants to hang and go monster slaying or just party up we are very layed back and more than welcome to help other linkshells and linkshell members. So just chiming in and putting my two cents in the jar. Hope to see yall around town ^_^
I'm around... sporadic as that may be. Also, run with the Swat Kats LS, doubtless you haven't heard of us... because we are very tiny, and insignificant.

I've been in and out (mostly out, playing ffxi still) since Open Beta but I plan to be more in for the time being at least (I've grown bored w/ even all the new content in ffxi finally). I'm kinda like a noob now lol.

Can I take this opportunity to advertise that I'm looking for a good linkshell here? Like the original poster says Kashuan seems to be majority Japanese and don't talk even with use of the ingame translator, finding it very difficult to complete party-required quests, have several pending....! /tell Zealotius Arkimedes
Played the beta, then bought the game and played at launch. had to sell the rig, couldn't play. Just got a new one and im back in and WOW the changes are awesome. I am trying to get through it, not only am I noticing NOBODY speaks english, but those who do want nothing to do with a lowly Noob. Been spending the last few night playing pouring over forums and guides trying to understand the systems a little more. SO glad I can search the market wards.
