Weapon Stances for Each Race

Hi all! I've been wondering if they are going to have some changes regarding the weapon/battle stances for each race. I'm sure a lot of you noticed but when each race holds a weapon, its exactly the same as another race!

Anyway, some of you may or may not agree but I believe it would be nice to have a different weapon stances for the races.

Thinking back to FFXII, that game had a lot of weapons and you can give any of the characters whatever weapon you wanted (as long as its opened up). Each character had their own stance for holding their weapons so it gave a interesting feel to it. This is also the case for FFXI. The stances were different for each race which gave the game an original feel (Elvaans held range weapons with one hand x3 awesomeness)

This is my first post, so what do you guys think?

Ummm no they don't. The majority of their stances are different. Not so much with DoM classes but the DoW classes definately have different stances per race.

Like the Elves stance for pug weapons are very calm and stationary while the Miqo'te have a little bounce to their step.

Just like for gladiator, Elves stand straight up while the Miqo'te stand with their knees bent a lot, almost hunched over.

Oh really? Maybe I didn't notice it too much. ^^; I should look at them more. Its just I remember being in a party and most of the members had lances. The stances looked similar. Thanks for the clarification, though.

I was actually looking at the lance stances because the Lalas hold it awkwardly when in battle (with the weapon faced away from the enemy) and clearly saw that other races face their weapons towards their target. So I don't think that they all have the same stance.

Hm, really? Maybe its nos obvious for me. XD

I'm gonna go ahead and bump this thread, I want elezens not looking so damn awkward as pugs and for god's sakes make lancer stance different. (why didn't they just give them their FF11 pose? It was great!)

Hmm. I need to relook at the battle stances. To me, they do look the same. But i must be blind if others say otherwise.

For me it's not so much stance that needs differentiating, but the attacks themselves. This is a Japanese game, the land of Bushido. Yet Gladiators thrust there sword forward, only... thats it, they just jab people. And most of their ws seem to be this arc slash thing with varying flashes at the end. I would like a more fluid battle animation, more combat like... more martial artsy. Like a slash to the right, followed by a slash back to the left, or overhand down across the chest rising up into the chin. Etc, been a while since I played any of the other classes much, and yes my current incarnation is low level on everything, but I started over after a 5 month absence (gpu problems, not lack of wanting to play).

Elvaan battle stances on Elezen... YES PLEASE.
