Idea for All Saints' Wake 2015: Beast Tribe Costumes!

It just came to mind that while we have had some interesting additions over the past years in All Saints' Wake, that variety is the key to getting more people interested.

This is why I suggest giving players the ability to go to the beast tribe of their choice, to earn or purchase a costume that makes the player resemble the tribe members. Amal'jaa Hood, Scaled Amal'jaa Vest, Tailed Amal'jaa Pantaloons, etc.

The following year, it could be a barding that does the same thing, but for the chocobo.

Thoughts?

Sezul's goggles could look nice, and I wouldn't mind seeing teams of lalafells playing [American] football while wearing kobold helms, but offhand I don't particularly feel like looking like any of the beastmen. I'd need to see some fashionable examples to persuade me.

..Elezen in a sylph leaf-dress could be like a bad Christmas tree.

I'd rather see a bunch of kobolds playing football with a lalafell. /em puntlala

Why not take it the extra malm and let us be transfigured AS a beastmen?

i would much rather have a spooky Halloween tree <3 and other decorations for my lovely house.

I still think in 3.0 they should give master alchemists some recipes to create transfiguration potions that let us turn into monsters and/or npcs. It would be a fun money sink for the game and also let the DoH rake in some more gil since the class doesn't have all that much going for it.

I would love an ixal or sylph cosplay/glamour- maybe even one of the new tribes too (one of them has a scotts kilt...and I need it :I)

Where can I sign...?!

It was hardly an insult. They were clarifying because the thousands of non-NA players see the word 'football' and think of what we call soccer. When we NA'ers see 'football', we don't think of soccer.

Far be it from me to take the side against someone taking offense, but jeeze. Calm down.

As for the OP, I am in love with this idea. I am not fond of the straight up glamour spell into the beast race, though. I feel there's entertainment value in the clothing of the beast tribes.

I remember the Halloween seasonal event in FFXI was that you got a beastman "outfit". But it wasn't a permanent one that you could store after the event was over. I think it dissappated after a little while, but it was alot of fun when all three cities gor infested by players disguised as misc. beastmen ^^

I would love to have beast tribe outfits, but don't limit them to Halloween! Increase the rep cap and people can get clothes as rewards that way!

Not sure how they'd fit beast tribes in for Halloween as it's littered with voidsent so I am not sure how they'd fit in beastmen.

I would love more glamour gears so I am up for this. There was enough furniture and other housing garbage (and yes, I am saying this mostly because I am sitting on 30M without possibility to buy a small house in Lavender Beds).
