Dear SE I made an Iron Celata +3 a few days ago

How would you have me utilize our nearly one year old market wards to sell this item?

You know, I'd be able to agree with a lot more posts if people just came out and said what they wanted. Though it's not like this topic hasn't been done to death before either.

-Make NQ/HQ a filter in the search in the market wards.

Was that so hard? I can agree with the sentiment, and it'll be easier to do so once they change the HQ items.

Pretty easy solution. I wonder if the average gaming company of SEs size and stature could manage to go ahead and fix this issue before release or the one month mark or the 6 month mark or the one year mark or the 2 year mark maybe?

So are we not supposed to hold a gaming giant such as SE up to any standard?
Are we supposed to put the kiddie gloves on and tell them everything they are doing is perfect?
Are you under the impression that adding a HQ filter within the first year of retail release is to much to ask?

HQ searching was already being added sometime, it might not be as simple to implement as it sounds on paper.

I thought it was fairly well known that when listing any HQ items, you list the items as follows:

Nifty Helm NQ 10,000
Nifty Helm +1 50,001
Nifty Helm +2 50,002
Nifty Helm +3 50,003

etc

I do agree it should be fixed, but in the meantime, people who seek out an HQ will know at a glance not only that your item is an HQ, but what level HQ it is.

Go look in Uldah Ward and see how many Iron Celatas there are. I can almost guarantee his 20,000, 003 won't show up

For peorple like us who might not understand game coding/programing, yeah definitely one year is way too much. The Dev Team has repeated themselves over and over again how they would like to add a bunch of features that are standard for MMO's but unable to because of the dreaded server side issues and coding. They ask only for our patience while maintaining the game free and running. if you are not patient enough you are free to leave or check on the game from time to time. But if you are willing to stick with the game like it appears to be the case, then understand you are doing so knowing the screw up they made with the game is rather big and will take a while to sort everything out.

Lastly, it has already been confirmed what you are asking for will be implemented in some way or another and it will be made easier to do when NQ/HQ on item is implemented.

The NQ hat is about 35k. I have sold a few +2s for around 2-4 million and the +3 is 10-20 million. With 37+ NQ hats on the wards this work around doesnt work unless I cut the price by 9,965,000-19,965,000 my hat will never show up on the list.
I dont think its worth it to lower the price that much.

I think this is a solid response. Its kind of a longer version of "accept the game as it is or quit for now/forever"

If this is the end all be all answer to legitimate complaints should SE maybe post a sticky at the top of the forums stating this? Or is this maybe not the official SE stance?

It is not a "accept the game as it is" ^^; as I would not pay for the game in its current state. It is a "accept they have acknowledged the problem, they plan to implement asap so they can start taking our money, but it will take time because they made huge mistakes with the programing of the game."

Believe it or not, SE wants to take our money as soon as possible =p Thankfuly they are aware no one in their right minds would pay when the basic features are not even in.

simple put another NQ one up as 10,003 to get people to look at your bazaar so they can see the +3 one for 10-20 mil i know people to have done this lol

Gotcha - I thought the problem was how to list HQ items, not the lack of visibility. I agree that is a problem.

It seems the issue here is not being able to select something such as "view more" when searching the markets. You have a valid point there - with a slew of NQ and +1s listed, the +2 and +3 items don't get shown. I would be all for allowing players to either be able to turn pages to view the next 20 items up for sale, or "view all" or even better "view all +3 only" etc.

Hopefully some of those upcoming market ward enhancements mentioned in the notes will address the problems in the search system. I absolutely would love to see some improvements made.

So I need to make or buy a normal one and take down one of my other items I am selling to do this in the hopes that someone will see my 36003 NQ hat listing and rush to my retainer in hopes of finding a +3 for 10-20 million. Ok as bad of an answer as this is its the closest thing to a solution I have been given. Thank you.

Put a NQ one with 100003 or something, and then put +3 on same maid... easy
That's how I sell most of my +3 or even +2 items

How are people going to find my Crab Bow +3 when there's 45 Crab Bows up for sale? Hmm.

I'm more interested to know how the market wards will work with the materia system than anything else. Each item could theoretically be different due to all the different types of materia.

They tried, but the Market Ward concept has failed. Just give us a simple and functional Auction House, like most MMORPGs have.

SE saying it will be fixed eventually doesn't inspire a ton of confidence in me. As a full time crafter this is as game breaking as any other issue in the game. I have waited 348 days since release very patiently for a fix to this issue and as of right now "eventually" is the best I can be given. Is this what we as a community find acceptable?

Is that like saying minorities didnt pack up and leave the USA so clearly they found the situation acceptable with how they were treated before the civil rights movement?

Some people who dont find it acceptable will stay here and continue to lobby for changes they feel the game needs.

Comparing a game to real world situations is moot there are far too many variables you can not account for. Despite this you have been waiting nearly a year for changes that will eventually come. Keep waiting or don't.

SE's stance is obviously it's done when it's done. They don't seem to be in a rush to catter to player demands aside putting their suggestions into the overall plan. As far as timeframe SE has always been slow and steady, if you played XI or waited for any SE game to release you would know they tend to take their time.

Not to mention that, in order to do a proper price comparison, you can't just use the search feature, you actually have to run through each and every ward to see what other people are putting their +3s up for. Fun, no?
