Lightning Returns Event later this year?

Seeing as Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is getting a re-release on Steam later this year, can we expect to see the Lightning Returns event happen one more time? This is of particular interest to me because I only just bought FF14 last month.

I hope not

I don't really wish for the event because it's been done 3 times already but we should be able to get the rewards from the Cash Shop at least.

At the end of the day having these items available on the cash shop permanently would be the best case scenario.

Trade you lightning stuff for tifah gloves as a monk weapon.

Is it getting a re-release though? It's been a long damn period of silence.

Should be. Still slated as Spring 2015 on Square Enixs website.

For op, probably not. None of the PC releases of the FFXIII trilogy have been accompanied by the Lightning event.

...and considering the eventuality is that everyone will have the Cloud outfit any other outfits to compete is all fine by me. It's the lesser of two evils.

They are probably going to replay all of the old fate events during the 2-year anniversary this summer, just like they did last year. There haven't been any NEW special events, so bringing back the FFXIII, FFXI, and Dragonquest events for another year makes sense. And if it is like last year, they might add items to the old events, like the slime hat.

Seriously, why do some of you want them to charge $5 for items when they could add the items back into the game for free? The prices on the mogstation are terrible, let's not advocate spending money there. $3 for a ring. That's like 10 cents per pixel.

Please please please, Noël's blades for NIN, Caius' sword for DRK, Time portal like AST weapon and a gun for MCH !!!!

I simply would like to be able to complete my Lightning and Snow outfits! I'm missing the chest for each because my male and female were way too low level to survive in Mordhona to get to the final fate.

Great idea. Btw though, as nice as it is to see people use accents, he's not named Noël, just Noel. Assuming SE didn't decide on a weird pronunciation I've forgotten about (cough cough Bastook) it'd sound like knoll.

yeah some weapons i would still like to get, that i was too lazy the 1st and 2nd time around to get

because some ppl just don't want it its not a big deal if they don't want it you might like the event but not everyone does and its true we had it 3 times already why do we need a fourth one

Because not everyone did it, if you don't want to do it just don't. New players should be able to have a chance to see it. Tho I am totally fine with the Cash Shop.

Why? Why does SE need to bring back a event cause a new player didn't get to do it, how many times have to see it? Looking at how long XI or WoW been around do we still need to see this event or any other event again and again 5,6 even 10 times cause new players weren't around when it took place?

This is what I'd expect, to see the events again at the anniversary just like this last year.

Pretty sure rings have more than 30 pixels though, js. xD

There have to be first a new Lightning Return event with new rewards before the old rewards go into the cash shop.
And make the cash shop items undyeable.

"I don't like it so don't bring it back" is a horribly selfish stance to take, especially when its presence wouldn't affect you at all. You aren't forced to participate and none of SE's events have ever been intrusive so it shouldn't matter to you if they were brought back.

To enforce and retain the concept of exclusivity, that's why not. But that's a whole other topic.

Player gripes aside, I would rather the items be added to the in-game CS, not the IRL version. I don't know why people are wont to pay for an item instead of earning it in-game. If the grind for said item is the problem, you're playing the wrong genre of games, then.

Its a limited event that lasted for a limited time. Think collector editions and stuff. Too bad, should have joined earlier. SE will bring new limited time events for people to collect stuff in.

I missed out on getting the hairstyle due to taking a break from the game during that time, so I'd love to see it return.

WHM and BLM weapons.

They'll have to fix them before re-issue the lightning stuff, and they won't fix them.

They should dump it in Cash shop. All I know because they did it 3 times...
3. Game has 3 games, this should be it.
Post it in GS/CS I don't care, I want NEW events made. Type-0, KH, FFXV.
Anything else but Lightning! >.<

Can't we not have a one time event and if you miss it your out of luck? if they just add it every year i can't be a special snowflake :(

But for real it should only be a one time event it happen you miss out? then your out of luck.
