Suggestion for next year's Halloween event (I know, it's still far away)

I realize this is kind of soon to talk about Halloween, but considering development time to implement suggestions, it might not be THAT soon after all...

We'd LOVE to see some pumpkins( or pumpkin patch, carved pumpkins, with or without lighting etc...) that we can use as outside furniture.

In fact, a trick-or-treat kind of event, where players would roam around the residential areas looking for houses with a lit carved pumpkin for treats would be kind of awesome!

What do you think? There's still (I hope) ample enough time to prepare something along those lines for next October :)

I thought how they integrated the trees into the Christmas event was cool. I'd be up for doing an event like you described for Halloween. :)

Yeah, that would be fun. The Christmas event was pretty nice having to look for the particular type of tree you wanted. It might be cool if there were quite a few different types of pumpkins, so you had to look a bit harder to find them all. I really like this trick-or-treating idea--I would love if we got to actually select specific "treats" to give out to people who visited our house. <3

Only if it comes with the option to throw eggs at the houses and actually affect how they look (not just on my client).

I'd spend all the holyday throwing eggs at all the unused houses to express my disappointment!

How about a minion that's a smaller copy of the player's head with ahriman wings/limbs, like the Tam-Tara HM boss? Also, a floating brain with eye stalks and trailing spinal cord. They could base it around the jellyfish model.

If there's not a Doom/Ghost Train, and Godbert doesn't show up to defeat it by suplexing it, I'm going to be VERY disappointed. We've had those train tracks in Thanalan since the beginning of ARR, btw, and to my knowledge, they're still not being used for anything.

I do like the jack-o'-lantern/trick-or-treat-ing ideas in the housing areas, though.

I would like to see more effort put into FF14's seasonal events in general. Most of the time, they just consist of running between each town and talking to NPC's, and then you're done within a couple of hours.

How about a Pumpkin Soup recipe to offer Leviathan...oh, wait. Wrong game. Sorry *walks away*.

This would actually be pretty awesome. It'd be cool to get some other random outdoor furnishings as well, like tombstones or something, to use to create that trick-or-treating feel. It'd definitely be something I'd like to see.

Investigating rumours of a phantom train on those track (or similar other worldly activities) with everybody's favourite detective sounds like a cool idea! :)
