Lately WoD (and all of CT) seem to be well... festering piles of pus. Personally I'm staying away from it and just going to keep to coil etc for now. I'm fortunate enough to have built up a stockpile of tomestones and twines/coats... and the toxic attitudes and frequent abandons make it just not worth the time.
You Probably joined a half-filled static with a group of buddies. Honestly I've seen people make pts saying "All Greed WoD" and then duty finder up when not even full. lol
When I just started unlocking the hard mode dungeons, I got my good lvl50 gears from the main story, but the tank wanted be to have the NPC gears that any one can buy with tomes. I got 50 the previous night, and I was just beginning to have access/learn about tomes. I even got a player sending me /tell - I should have some consideration for the people that want to grind their dailies/tomes and have pity on them just Cuz I didn't have nice gears like then. It looked stupid, but I suppose they think u get 50 and have ilvl100 asap. Aren't those players so cool *roll eyes*
If I'd post the most absurd reasons I have got kicked about.... Geez...
But here comes two of the recent pealrs:
Kicked in a dungeon because saying "Foe Requiem exists" to the bard.
Kicked in a dungeon for using a macro I have that salutes party and says I'm the crazy relic user, and my progress with the relics.
In both kicks, I got kicked...IN THE LAST BOSS, before entering, they used me for speeding up their dungeon like f-ing cowards and then just kicked me before ending. At least they could have done it prior to first boss... x'3
I saw this happen the last time I ran WoD. Black Mage got kicked after winning two greed rolls on gear. The person who initiated the kick (I voted "No" btw) used the excuse that they were afk, even though the BLM was standing with us.
At which point, I'd proceed to roll "Need" (if able) while giving them the middle finger.
I was in WoD the other day as WHM and my group kicked someone for being a little lost. We wiped and I guess he didn't realize you could take the teleporter and so he ran through the first area before taking the next teleporter to Cerberus. And they kicked him. He was a dps. We could have even pulled without him if they were so inclined. One DPS won't make or break it. No but these nice folks kicked him out of the dungeon instead. Just wow.
So we went into the fight down a dps (bc you know they couldn't wait for another one to come in). Which we could have done anyway without kicking him out.
I've only ever been kicked out once and my friend asked them why. It was for something the other monk was doing. And they were like WHOOPS KICKED THE WRONG ONE. Like hey if you're going to kick someone out, make sure you have the right person.
WoD should be renamed Cancer Central Command. All the vitriolic gamers from the NA server go hang out there and spread misery and suffering to all who are unfortunate enough to queue for those places. I literally meet better people in FCoB farm groups even in T12 and that usually has a lot of elitists >_>
Yeah the people this game attracts is gross, which is a shame cuz its a good game. But people have no tolerance for new players. They try to speed run everything and if you aren't i100+ they hate you, are mean to you, then kick you. Which I haaatteee. How will the game keep new players when they are treated like this? We were all new at one time and had crappy gear... I found most of the time the douches tend to be tanks. Like how tanks rage quit dungeons when they don't get their way because their queue took 5 seconds. Then the healer is usually stupid and thinks that means they leave too (it has happened sooooo much). Then the DPs who probably waited 20+ minutes just had that time wasted.
Find a good FC to do things with because the community in this game will kill you. Note there are plenty of great players obviously. It's just the D-bags are too common.
I don't know. I've met plenty of awesome people. Just... WoD right now for some reason, seems to be attracting the worst of the lot.
Speakin' of WoD: I'm getting sick and tired of watching 'seasons of "Tank Wars!" in WoD too.
Too much bad...too many people actin' up.It seems to unlock of WoD
was an invite to all the baddies and butts of all over. It's too much!
Is it so bad now? Last 2 days I go to WOD in my server nothing much happening, all look fine everyone greed everything but no one got kicked yet because of that.
Yup... Since the last patch I haven't actually even completed WoD. Not even once. Admittedly, I have work and am pretty tired at nights, but the last time I tried to do a run of WoD I ended up abandoning it because the mindset of the people in that duty was so toxic... Not to mention no one would listen to people who were actually trying to help those who couldn't seem to not die constantly. I hate abandoning duties but I was tired and frustrated and said "Eff it!"
Wish I could watch a season on tank wars, recently the tanks I get don't do diddly dick and I pull all the agro on my WHM and get beat to death. Then comes the obligatory "omg whm noob died" ofc.
The chain ressing I always have to do in this dungeon just makes me hate it all the more, people just cba moving a meter to the right to avoid those aoes.
I once had a tank in Cerberus that said to us "watch I'm gonna take agro it'll be so funny" then he did then proceeded to berate and swear at the other tank in alliance chat. The WoD community is one of never like to experience again...
The NA gamers are all I know and they are MY current problem so yes I am focused around them. Your automatic assumption that I'm "Xenophobic" is hilarious because you took 2 sentences from something I wrote on a forums and immediately decided to come to such a large and negative conclusion about who I am as a person. This has allowed me to come to a valid conclusion about who YOU are a person but I'm not here to troll or spread cancer so let's avoid the personal badgering.
I can't speak for any other gamer domains so I speak for the domain that I do know. If WoD is a cancerous pool of filth and vitriol on JA or EU servers too then I guess I am also referring to them, but why make such assumptions about what I do not know, especially when it's a very well known fact that there are huge cultural differences between gamers of various nationalities such as Japanese and throughout Europe and the North American gamers?
I do the Archmage quest every week and usually it goes fine, maybe some wipes because of new people, that usually learn quickly, but no special problems.
But from time to time there are bad behaviours in the alliance chat, people start to blame each other, etc. It's because of it being a 24 person raid. The same happened in Crystal Tower long ago. The great majority of people are nice. There might be a mix of people who have been there a lot of times and want a quick run for the quest, with new ones with no exp. And as it is not a new place, people take for granted everybody knows everything until there are problems that make clear there are people who don't know well the place.
There are also loot quits: people who quit when they get their wanted loot, or quit because there are many of their job that can compete for the loot. Unfrequent but not rare.
It is rare (and against the game's rules), but there are loot kicks. I got kicked in Crystal Tower long ago with no problems at all, I just found myself kicked just before last boss. I looked at the party composition and 5 of them, including the other tank, were from the same server and FC. Probably the other tank needed the gear from the last boss and asked his friends to kick me.
I don't know how you would do WoD 23x lol, I would shoot myself. Why not instead, expert roulette and trial roulette each once a day for 5 days and hit your poetic cap that way, ALOT less grinding.
Also I got kicked from CT for quoting Duke Nukem "Time to Kick ass and chew bubble gum but im all out of gum", I lol'd
The earlier you do CT after reset, the less disorganised the groups tend to be.
Early in the week, there's still plenty of people who just want to get in, get their carbontwine from the weekly, and get out. It's only later on that you tend to run into an overwhelming number of dumpster groups, either due to their failure to complete the place earlier in the week, or the fact that they're still farming the place for gear and are bored to death and not paying attention properly.
I would interpret that as a courtesy for not having to leave the dungeon after getting what I wanted, and avoiding the DF lockout. ;)Quote:

not that I actually do things like that
WoD is a cesspool of all the worst parts of anonymity, Duty Finder and the Internet. If you're looking for internet trolls or just complete A-holes. WoD is the place to be.
I had an FC mate do her first run of WoD the other day and she was thinking about quitting the game due to this (No Joke)
To show her it wasn't all that bad, we ran it with a full FC group. I won't even start to tell you how bad the other 2 groups were.
Healers not healing, Tanks running the boss (We didn't even get beyond Angra something or other) into the raid and ignoring adds.
Our tank did her best, but could not be everywhere at the same time.
My FC is a very open and friendly place so we made light of it all and had a good laugh about it (It's a game, let's have fun shall we?) which brightened up our FC member which was considering leaving the game.
We abandoned, got a new group and it went damned smooth. Turned out we had 2 other preformed groups with maybe 3 PUG-ed DPS total which had similiar runs to ours prior to meeting up together...
It is sad, most other dungeons don't have this problem. WoD as described in another thread should be renamed "World of Tears"
While I wouldn't personally kick you for doing these, it's not hard for me to see why they would annoy people.
In the first case, "Foe Requiem exists" implies that the Bard doesn't know Foe Requiem exists. You're telling the bard that he doesn't know his job. It's not hard to see why the bard would be annoyed by this, and if the others in the party were the bard's friends, it's not hard to see why they'd agree to kick you. A better way to go about it would have been to say, "May I have Foe Requiem, please?" There's still folks out there sensitive enough to be offended even by that, but they'd have less justification, and you'd have a better story to tell the forum. :p
In the second case, it comes across as bragging. Additionally, if you spam it a lot, then folks would get tired of it fast - in fact, ANY frequently-used macro that also has chat text is going to get very tiresome, very fast. I'm guessing, though, that you only use it once per dungeon - in which case, the question would be WHY? Why is this information important for other players to know? Perhaps you ARE bragging?
Friend got kicked in WoD once when there was still lockout... at Cerby the votekick poped. I was like wtf and asked in chat what this is for. They told me for being afk. Funny that he stood right besides the party at this time and was freshly buffed >_>
All that had happened was that he stepped on the jump back out at the Atomos fight while trying to bait the devour attack and was locked out only this trashfight.
Well my friend had his weekly loot before this run and only was running it again to give me company and I had nice support in party by someone that agreed that the kick was childy (Seeing they were 5 man on German launcher use I bet they came together).
Anyway ever since we try to run any duty as much as possible premade to prevent unjust kicks (4 weeks or so my friend hadnt even entered WoD if not atleast 5 man premade :( )
WoD was always filled with these people. They just were focused on their main classes for a time.
It could still be rough, especially later in the week after the more serious players did their tower climb weekly.
The biggest change has been the removal of the loot lockout which means they stay in WoD more, and on their inferior classes looking for more loot.
I tend to only do WoD 1-3 times a week. Nothing left in there for me, and I prefer constructive stress: downing coil.
Sad when FCoB progression is less stress than the 24-man community.
That's just sad - the behavior of some people in WoD is so terrible. Like many, I queue up and get all 3 done every Tuesday, as it seems smoother // seems to get worse the later you get into the week. Also, if you have to PUG, I'd recommend at least doing it on a healer or tank role. That way, should there be some baseless kick, you can get back in quickly. I've never been kicked from any of the CT raids, and always vote 'no' when or if a vote kick comes up (unless it is warranted like for afk or trolls). What I highly recommend, though, and what I usually do, is get a full FC party -- that way, there will never be kicks or such ^_^v
You think that's bad...God forbid if you go in CT. That place is hell on the great mother earth.
The real question during CT is "What's a tank again?" I mean people be going all out and be imbecile's I can't tolerate it.
It's sad, because it use to be my favourite. People forget what AOE's too...or mechanic's. The dragon with the Skeleton's cannot be DPS raced.
I was like this entire time I'm not kidding you. This is literally my face and my hands when I see dead people left and right and a healer sprinting for his life as he's getting chase across the map and 6 Tank's are lobbin/tomahaking
with a chain of DRG/MNK's trying to get their combo's going and casters getting interrupted and bard's getting the adds and kiting around.

World of Salt has certainly got worse by the day, especially after lockout was lifted, I have yet to be kicked for getting multiple greed roll wins in one run (3 is my record and I never got kicked) Every time I run it though, there is always complaining and fighting going on, one wipe will cause the accusations of "nobody here can do their job" or they just leave outright (I generally find wipes more humorous in raids than anything) or people just screaming at each other.
LotA and ST are no exceptions either, but competitively less so, I have had more smooth no nonsense clean runs of those ones than WoD, best WoD party was my first clear, only one person had done the raid previously and was giving us directions in a polite way, we were all cracking jokes and having fun learning the mechanics, we were also like an hour and a half away from maintenance, so it was a race against the clock too.
I usually just check the map.
If it's trash, I pull if there's a few people left behind. If it's a boss, I'll wait 30 secs.
