Engineering manual doesn't last the full 3 hours!

So here I am taking advantage of everyone dumping their silver nuggets and finally trying to get my blacksmith to 50. So I spend 200 company seals to get an engineering manual to help boost SP. When you use the manual it starts a timer that gives you 3 hours and at r46 is giving me about 150 extra SP per synth.

Seeing how great this is I prepare for 3 hours of hardcore grinding. But about 40 mins in it goes away and I get a message that says something like you are no longer under crafters grace(cant remember the exact message). WTF!!

Nowhere in the items description does it say anything about an SP benefits limit. I feel kinda ripped off. Anyone who purchases one of these is going to buy it with the intent to use it while grinding to maximize SP. But it won't even last 45 mins so why put a 3 hour timer on it. Maybe a day will come where company seals are infinite but right now they are precious. Hope the day never comes when I come up 200 seals short of some epic weapon or something.

I didn't test the DoL manual but I'm going to assume it has the same issue though it might take a bit longer to hit the SP cap.

A bit late you know, people already tested this beforehand and the SP cap is a given fact. It's sorta like Guardian Aspect for leve, it last for the whole leve duration, which can be anywhere from 1 seconds to 30 minutes.

I can confirm the dol's manual works the same way, they basically work the same as an exp band did in xi. It was a surprise to me at first since i wasnt sure wether there was a cap, clearly SE atleast need to put down the sp benefit cap on the scrolls description.

Its 12,000 not 15,000. Awards you 4,000 bonus SP total, but the final synth that pushes you over isn't reduced so if you are doing a 700+ SP synth you could end up with ~4,400 SP or so from the manual.

But yes, this is correct and I've used quite a few to help level goldsmith.
They might be 200 points but this is gonna help loads when I start levelling Leatherworker more.
Planning to buy 23 of them with the points I got from the Gridania company quests :)

I was pretty sure I remembered this being stated in the item description, and sure enough it was:

The "または一定量上昇で" bit seems to be completely missing from the English translation.

Well, you would actually be able to see what the actual duration was if you would stop botting and watch your computer craft. Perhaps you fell asleep while botting, and you thought you were only out for 40 minutes. Who knows.

Because duration is always the same no matter the sp of the actual craft, right?

I avg 12000 as well
