Also, let us pray for better times for this guy. 1 win out of 39 games. Thats 2,5%. For the ADS Mount he would only have to play 7800 frontlines (wich would take between 2600-3900 hours if you count 2-3 games per hour) thanks to gc restriction. Thanks god they gonna continue it in heavensward, so this guy is getting his mount in probably 10 years when Yoshi did turn off the servers.

Edit: Oh snap, this guy suffers a even more ridiculous destiny. 11200 frontlines and 3733-5600 hours for him to get the mount.

People who do very poorly don't get the prizes meant for people who do well. News at eleven.

They are forced to play on the loosing team. So its most likely not even thier fault.

Honestly if i was those people id switch GC's. Not patience for those type of L's

Yep it's sad. Though those people get their pvp rank up much faster it sucks to not win more with that many games played.

I wouldn't mid GC restrictions (it has it perks) were it not for these 2 reasons:

1: As I'm beating a dead horse by repeating it for the 1 000 000th time: Que time would at least be cut in half. As of now, on an average, I'm waiting 45mins+ to only be...

2: ...stuck with a DGAF/noob team. Occasionally I will get a team that actually cares, yes, but that is the exception to the rule. To fix this I could simply switch GC to finally get my rank up in something other than a snails pace. Oh wait, I can't do that either; my PvP rank is GC based, not character based... -____-

Removing GC restrictions would help the 1st point, no doubt, but the 2nd would need GC removal + something else. The "something else" only concerns the DGAF problem, which may very well be unsolvable, but GC restrictions empowers the DGAF attitude.

As you can imagine I'm overly happy they decide to keep GC restrictions! Yaay!

New Frontline rules will be added (for example, swapping the starting position of each nation, etc.).
Also, new PvP gear will be added.

Thank goodness, because that was what was causing so much imbalance and frustration in the community! <'eyeroll/ok whatever' type animated gif meme would go here if I had one on my iPad to attach. Think back to other people's posts for this part, or just use your imagination.

I hoped that another GC will come from Ishgard, so even if they want to matain the GCvsGCvsGC the Duty Finder can start with the first 3 Alliances among 4.
But I really don't know if a 4rth GC will born xD

Anyway they can ATLEAST put in the DF Roulette the GC in need bonus, so the GC that actually is the bottleneck are more incentivate to join it (and also all will know when their DF will probably star very soon).

Haha that's right I love how you rotated the map. I remember early in patch notes there was something about adjusting debris betwen a couple areas possibly impacting travel time, but seems like they had that balanced out. When we had 72 man Secure mode I used to wall run the corner of the gate on my mount to be the first to the flag so I could swiftcast and AOE bind before the other team reached it, and it seemed pretty consistent when teams arrived at both places so there was no advantage.

Maybe if they made FL a little less care bear and a little bit more in ur face and u die kind of approach then a lot of PVE ppl would stay away.
Sure it defeats the purpose of improving Q times but honestly i rather wait then be put on a team with a bunch of idgaf pve players that don't even use their pvp skills lol ( i've seen it happen ).

I rather they go back to wolves den fix tht piece of crap and THEN go to FL and fix that bigger piece of crap lol. They should really stop shoving things aside and be like its ok when it really isn't.
WE all know the new FL mode and map will be BS cuz they just seem to not get the concept for pvp of

Ive encountered so many people in pvp that announce "im just here for the blah blah" and not to win. I wish I could switch teams immediately and make sure that their time in duty is a miserable one.

I hate that type of player. And whoever's in the weakest GC on their data center is going to be stuck with more people like this on their teams who can fast queue in. And if they change GC's, that just adds to the imbalance even further from the perspective of whatever good players remain in the GC they moved from... one more strong player going to the dominant GC on their data center, and one more slot available to be filled from roulette by a weaker player.

Being matched up against strong teams makes the game fun and challenging... except when you are on a team with members who are a liability (which makes the skill gap MUCH wider than when being paired up with simply average players against stronger players), and the GC tie in makes those discrepancies long lasting vs. for the duration of one match.

Seriously, it feels like half the teams I get, there's always those players where if a giant red button spawned in front of them that said Press This Button to Win Game, and we'd been telling them for 10 min to press the button when it popped, they still wouldn't do it.

Yeah, thats really annoying. I have seen it so many times that we lost a game because the only healer did switch to dd for his light bonus the last minutes. When i asked why they doing this they just say "I dont care if i win or not, i am just here for the light bonus". Then i am sitting here on my couch to pull a long face.

Dont know what happend to the Adders tho. I mean before slaughter did launch every of the three GC were kinda on tie, but now Adders eating dust all the time. Maybe its because the better players in their rooster got sick of the broken slaughter mode and the massive pve-idc-trains.

Is part of their plan for the role GC's play in FL, to make people end up resenting their own Grand Company and the other players who are aligned to it? Especially the ones not dominant in their data center where they can count on 3 alliances of partial to full premades on every team. Maybe they wanted to established some friendly rivalry, but when a system makes people hate their own team, something's broken.

Most dropped out the PvP, once they got 45, and all the vanity they required.

It is unbalanced, Adder has Flames on one side and Mael on the other. Mael only has to go left and take on Adder, Flames only has to go right to take on Adder. Flames and Mael don't have a shared front.

That's got nothing to do with doing well. If you think you are good, just change to the losing fraction and see, if you uberskill changes anything.

I stopped Q for slaughter. No win in 10 days or so. Atrocious PvP profile lol. In secure, for some reason, a win may sneak in. Usually though there are always someone who have the urge to feed the other teams. The last 2 matches we lost 2nd due to massive feed to flames.
I want to leave adders badly, but I don't want to lose my rank. What, to do, what to do? What could possibly fix this? Remove GC restrictions maybe??

To be fair though, today we've had a steady 2nd (that is, 5 2nds and 4 3rds :P).

Shock horror, one's skill counts for less when you are with up to 23 mostly pve based players who just run in and die, but that doesn't instantly mean everyone should be eligible for performance based prizes

Once again this is something somewhat fixed with the abolishment of GC restrictions

Seriously. Adders REALLY are horrible on Chaos.
Took me 2 weeks and a few days of NONSTOP frontlines to get only 50 wins. And I've done around 240+ matches.
In 72 players matches, people didn't even know what to do, and Twin Adders were still using some old strategy. There were even people who were like "why bother go to manors and markets, we should all stay mid and kill the people".
Neither Storms or Flames leave their B group in mid, makes me wonder what people he was talking about.

Even in 24 secure and slaughter matches, people refuse to listen or communicate which results in a lose.
After getting my ADS mount, just had to get out of that GC. So far been in Flames, but damn, whether it was a win or lose, people still did their best and actually listened. There were still obviously people who would mess around and troll, but there weren't there as many as there were in Twin Adders.

I feel the only way a 4th GC from Ishgard would work is if players from Ishgard were wild cards, and could be dumped into the roster for any of the 3 other GCs. Mercenary. It could potentially make sense in terms of the story, since the story is what caused this abomination to begin with, and would likely go a long way to making queues happen way faster.

Though, I suspect queues would be much shorter if PvP wasn't so poorly designed to begin with.

Or to let the others win... one of the probs of the whole "GC" problematic. You got a guild, you got members with different GCs in it, you let them join PvP and...

It's very easy and it would be naive to think, that people don't exploit it. There are always people who exploit what they can. Never saw a game without it.

So all hope that Heavensward could change something is gone.

They may never fix pvp and its many problems but everyone will still do it, specially after seeing the new pvp gear set sketches theyy put out.

That guy is an Adder. most of the DF Adders are dead weights who can't lift themselves and cannot be lifted by anyone.
