Guardian's Aspect Improvements

So my idea for GA (Guardian's Aspect) is to allow it for use outside of Guildleve's. The system could be changed to give a 50% boost to SP/EXP for a set amount of SP/EXP something like 20k, so with GA on you would get 30k as opposed to the 20k you would get without.

By doing this it could still be used for Guildleve's even the bad ones that don't give much SP/EXP and not seem as though it is wasted. If you D/C it would still be active as it is set for a set amount of SP/EXP gained and not tied to a Guildleve or time restraints. It would help boost people's motivation for grind parties and partying up with people. The system couldn't be abused as it set for a fixed amount of SP/EXP so once you hit it, it is gone.

You could also allow it to be stacked so casual players who build up a lot of it could use 20 GA for a 100% boost to make up for the fact they don't have much time. Hardcore players are still constrained by the fact it replenishes on a timer so it couldn't be abused. Infact with it you might even be able to do away with fatigue as the casual players will be able to use it to gain a lot of SP/EXP in a short amount of time.

You could even maybe let it be used for crafting or gathering classes.

What are people's thought's on this, is it a good idea or a terrible one?

the game gives you tons of sp as of 1.15 already.

I dont know if I like this Idea. I mean if they wanna add soemthign like this just make sp/exp rings.

I'm also not in favor of this whole make everyhting fair to casual players. if people bust there ass to get there levels there should be no way possible for someone who only logs on once or twice a week to catch up or even be close to the hardcore.
I mean even if i decided I could only get on once or twice a week for a hour or so I would never expect to be at the same lvl range as my buddy who gets on everydays and grinds his ass off to reach max level. SE needs to rethink this whole "making everyhting fair state of mind they have"

i'd just add rings with a week cool down lol

Well I agree I am also against the whole make things easy for casual's idea but unfortunately for us SE is not. I would have suggested an SP/EXP ring but then I would have got shot down for trying to make the game FFXI-2 ; ;

Perfect Idea make Exp/Sp rings only work while grinding. hmm maybe take a step further and make one that has a smaller max bonus that works for party or solo play then have one with a bigger max bonus that only works with a 4 or 8 player party :D. by all means we need more incentive for people to party^^

Oh I agree that there is no harm in taking things that worked from FFXI and reworking them into FFXIV, it's just when any thread get's a whiff of anything FFXI in it, people flood in and start spamming "We don't want FFXI-2"

That is why I didn't suggest an SP/EXP "Ring" in the first place, I thought it might be better to rework a system already in place in FFXIV and make it better. You would be able to activate it from any Aetheryte so would be easy access and wouldn't take up an inventory slot. Either way is fine with me, I just think at the minute GA could be a lot more useful than it currently is. At the min you would only use it on the "special" leve's ie Dunesfolk, Ranine and so on when fully linked, this way you could use it on any and it wouldn't be a waste, especially if you D/C ><

Guardian Aspect works fine the way it is now, IMO. It's mainly used to benefit those people who don't play as much - and it does just that.

But what you need to remember is that Rank 50 is not the final cap for the FFXIV and it will eventually be lifted, when that happens and you need 500k to get your next rank even a fully link Dunesfolk For Dinner Leve getting 1k a mob is not going to help much.

you arent going to do dunes forever are you?, for all we know they might just add 30 mobs or more in a leves at 700~1k SP each on max link for r50/60/etc leves

I like the way GA is implimented currently, although I would have it automatically override fatigue while active.

And then when you D/C and lose you leve, links and GA that would be even worse than it is now. Really how is my idea such a bad system that people are so against being able to gain more SP in different area's.

i dont think its a bad idea, but i think majority are already satisfied with current SP system

It would be cool if they had GA Quest where you could do quest to appease to your guardian and earn more GA

I also think you should be able to pray to your guardian and get buffs like 5% def boost or something and pay a certain amount of GA for these buffs like 30 or something
