I would expect to see numbers around 390
I'm sure someone will come and tell me my number is low, that you should be doing 430, but I can only draw from memory as am a ps4 player who only sees dps numbers when I ask.
I remember that I did ~355 on T8 in full 110.
Thanks, I'm on ps4 as well, so I'm in the same situation, also I only dps in pugs because I'm the whm in my static, so I'm sure there are plenty of things I could do to optimize my dps a bit more as my dragoon mechanics as are not as sharp as they is used to be, but 370-380 means I'm not horribly far from where I should be.
By now, everyone should be AT LEAST i125, so you should be pushing at the very base 450. If you're doing less than that, there's something wrong. Having t10-12 on farm, most drg I've pugged with were doing 500 ish, with the lowest in the range doing 480.
The drg in my static hits between 430-450 ish depending on mechanics. About the same as Me on BLM. Both I 130.
So ya should be aiming for around that.
Did you guys read the part about him having 120 left side with ~120 right side? With the 110 weapon?
As a 130 drg I have parsed as high as 587 with a ninja. There are other parses a bit higher out there too for t10 as a drg. Without a ninja and being picked for charge you should hold around 530 to 550. So at 120 depending on your weapon, party makeup, and mechanics I would say about 480 to 500 should be the norm. This is also taking into consideration that you use food and str pots.
480 would be too much of an estimation for someone with an i110 weapon. Strength on its own scales less with low Weapon Damage. Around i120 with an i110 Weapon, he should be dealing approximately 430-450 DPS, as long as he's executing mechanics flawlessly. 400-410 being on the lazy side. That's how much of a difference Weapon Damage Makes.
For a DRG with your gear I would expect something around 420-450.
I missed the part where he said he had liberator. I was basing that off of the ironnwork spear. Sorry
Once you get your iron works weapon you will be hitting 400 easy, so you are in a good place overall. Just practice practice :)
I appreciate all the replies, gives me some expectations for my own performance, if dragoon was my main still (hasn't been my main since like 2.2) I'd probably already have a 135 weapon, which I do on my white mage. It's just me curious on dps with my current gear so I have an idea how much work I need on brushing up on my dps rotations and such.
i think our DRG had around 450 on our first clear, he had i115 spear but ilvl 111-113ish without any crafted gear. so around 430-450 should be a target. since it was week 1 of FCOB he used pots etc.
You can probably pull off around 450 with your current gear, but it comes down to getting our incredibly long rotation right without fail throughout the first phase and then doing adds "properly", meaning Heavy Thrust boss just as Electrocharge lands, Disembowel the Daughter, Chaos Thrust the Son, Phlebotomize the Son, then kill the daughter off with the rest of your rotation before switching to the son. Use Elusive Jump to move over to the second add group and do the same thing all over again. On the second add phase, use Spineshatter Dive or Dragonfire Dive to get to the third add group.
I do around 540 with Aug Magitek and mostly i130 gear so 450 with yours shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't lose too much in the add phase. That said, for T10 and T11 you really don't need more than 400-ish as long as all damage dealers stay above that.
Oh, those tips will come in handy, I will work on making those adjustments and see how high I can get my dps with my current gear, will be 2 weeks before I get another poetic upgrade. I do really appreciate the add phase tips, I'm obviously making errors there, so that's where I can make some immediate improvements.
Hope it helps. :) Yeah, add phases are make-or-break for DRGs and they can need some extra planning. Generally, Disemboweling the mob that you and your bard will be attacking right now while putting your DoTs on your next target is a good idea. If you put Phleb and CT on your main target it'll probably die before the DoTs finish, which is a waste of damage. :) Keeping that in mind and using your jumps to move across the battlefield helps a tonne with keeping up DPS in those phases.
Thanks for the advice, I'm more aware of where im dropping dps a bit now, but got some more t10 farm in and hit 407 in one run, but it varied run to run, and they didnt all go quite that well, more practice is needed. Just wanted to let you all know ur advice made an immediate improvement, but more can still be made and that is very apparent to me now.
and as far as upgrading weapons, working on my novus, but im more concerned with my play than my gear atm, so i can hit the ground running at heavensward where the gear will be replaced, but the skill has to be earned with practice and such.
Good to hear. Skill compensates gear, and vice versa. Another easy quick-fix to keep in mind is using Heavy Thrust from the side and Chaos Thrust from behind, even if you technically don't have to any more since 2.45. The extra potency you get (70 for Heavy Thrust and 50 for Chaos Thrust) from positioning correctly adds up to become quite a bit over an 8-10 minute fight.
