I got my house back when the last batch were added for 1.9 million, I was hesitant about spending every last gil I had but I was so glad I did, since then the population of my server is after exploding and houses are like gold dust. You really can't beat having a place to call your own.

Offer to pay 10m for someone to relinquish a small plot, pay 3m to move in :)
-
Remember to also check the 2nd tab in each ward, what you showed there was only the first half of the houses in those wards. Where it says plots 31-60.They may be sold out too but they're your best bet.

I'm sure she knows about the subdivisions :) and considering that medium sized houses are the last to be sold out, if there's none of those left, she's out of luck. Nothing left but to spend extra money to pay off a relinquish fee or wait for more wards.. All the money in the world would fix that problem easily though :D

You'd be surprised how many people don't.
Still, your idea is a good one if she can find a house owner that is both unattached to said house and active enough to be contactable regarding the offer. Sadly, many of the people who don't heavily invest in their house don't seem to play much in general :( Good luck, OP!
-
10m for relinquishing is actually pretty high, if the owner doesn't want to part with the house.. 10-30m should do the trick I think.. But if you hang around Mor Dhona, you'll see people selling properties pretty often, you can buy for below market price if they're just trying to get rid of it. It does usually come with FC though.. But it's still a worthy investment if you're willing to hold on to the house until the right buyer comes along and you get to play around with it before then :)

There's so many houses on Ragnarok server that I've went too that look just like abandoned property. It's been months and there's still hardly any yard decoration or inside decorations, let alone the garden even being used. You'd think people would at least be using that on a constant basis but nope. So it's like they invested in a house just to show they had the money to buy one.

You never know though, until I gave my house away to a friend, I was using it as a crafting hub, it only had the bare essentials (mailbox, bell, merchants, aetheryte).. I really liked it because the house (Goblet Plot #1) is right next to all the merchants and being inside the house cuts down the lag so my macro doesn't get interrupted by the random lag spikes. Now I just go in the fc private chambers to do it.

that amount of gil is not enough for a medium ! go back in game and make more ! (and pray 3.0 will add new housing area)

Yup, all sold in the subs, same in the mist too, not checked the goblet but wouldn't want a house there anyway.

It is on Cerberus, last time I looked before they all got brought out prices ranged from 12 - 15 million.
-
I'm now going to argue that you need to transfer to a smaller server and housing is in great shape.

Now apply that to your Balmung thread and housing crisis is over! for 2 weeks.
-
That may have been the joke, since the solution people think is OK to "I can't get a house" is "transfer," seemingly blind to how terrible of an answer that is.

that is with price reduce, the full price at cerberus should be 24-30kk
ps: and keep praying that 3.0 will come with new ward for housing

That is true, don't forget depreciation. Because if you wait for when the houses come out, you won't be able to afford it. Others will snatch it all up at full price while you're waiting for the price to come down.. Time to go make moar money!

I recently got rid of my small house in the Mist on Excalibur in order to transfer over to Jenova. I didn't bother trying to sell it off to anyone since I just wanted to transfer that day.
Took the 4.4 million gil hit in the pocket, but not too peeved since Jenova still has Medium houses available and the economy difference meant I was able to grab one with the items I sold from Excalibur.
Really hope they get around to adding a system to sell off your house, or at least get some of your money back if you choose to abandon it, as that may persuade some people who have baught and now realize they have no interest in owning one of relequishing to those who are.
