I actually thought of something like this, but more a mechanical arm to continue his dual wielding with (a la Albel Nox)

Yes I 100% agree and had the same thoughts about Raubahn's arm.
I can see Cid fitting him with some sort of robotic replacement, with the machinist coming out a robotic machinegun arm would be a nice touch.
