Tataru Triad?

I read she is available to challenge in Rising Stones, MD. Someone mentioned 5pm-5am. I waited a full day and she never came available to challenge. Also does she actually drop Lightning?

you need to finish mainstory "before the dawn" to play her.

^ That. She is only playable in her new spot at the end of the 2.55 main story questline.

I honestly can't tell if she drops lightning or not, mainly because I've won against her about 150 times so far with no drop. I will keep trying. She does give very decent mgp a win and its all random roulette so..... happy Vaan farming!

She does drop Lightning. You need good RNG.

Yep, got a Lightning off her relatively quickly (luck).

I got mine after 223 wins.

Took me 20 matches

She is only challenge-able after complete before the dawn and she is then located in Coerthas.

I'm on 570 wins no card yet. RNG is not on my side.

I finally got my lightning card, but I could of got two vaan cards from the amount of times I won before dropped.

How many wins did it take you? I'm up to over 700.

Just over 600 wins it took me to get mine. I'm still having to grind MGP for Warrior of Light card though which is doing my head in instead now. Currently spent over 350k MGP yet not got it yet. I also still need to get Shivas, Good King Moggle Mog XIIs, Terra Branfords, Onion Knights, Warrior of Light (mentioned above), Cloud Strifes, Nanamo Ul Namos, Cecil Harveys, Firions and Tidus cards before completed the current list of in game cards. Four of them are raid/trial grinds, one gold card pack which still don't have after spending 350k+ MGP, two NPC bought ones which cost 1.4mil MGP plus rest only available from tournament which is broken and cheaters end up taking top spots quite often.

I think I'm the only one left on the forums then that still doesn't have it. :x

Took me 188 wins according to my achievement counter. I avoided roulette games after I got Vaan, so I assume that's pretty accurate, heh.

Well I hope you get it soon, I know how annoying it is to win so much and not get it.

I also hope SE adds an extreme bad luck counter balance system in future like one I mentioned elsewhere.

Wish people would queue for Dragon's Neck more, never gonna get my Terra card with the current dps queues ranging from 30 mins to 6 hours for it to pop.

This is why its an advantage to learn how to heal and tank. To spam content with shorter wait in between.

742 wins later, I got Lightning finally. I cried a little irl. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Even healer queue isn't any shorter, and when I had a tank buddy with me it wasn't happening either. I think people are just really sick of trying for Terra.

I don't have Terra, I don't have Bartz, I don't have Lightning, I don't have Warrior of Light, I don't have Zidane, I don't have Gaius. Despite trying for all of these cards many times. (Yes, I know I can get Gaius from Praetorium, but playing TT against the Indolent Imperial means I can get MGP to fund my Gold pack habit).

considering p packs give the card now aswell i wouldnt play tataru for it anymore guys. youll just enrage 100% because ´next p pack will spit out lighting after it dropped from tataru just to screw you over^^

I got a second Lightning card out of one of my platinum packs today. :/

Platinum packs can only be obtained every 2 weeks, and the quantity you get is based on your points total during the tournament. You then do not have a guarantee of Lightning nor any of the other super rare cards, so playing this annoying NPC for Lightning is a better option than those packs, unless you don't mind potentially waiting a year for the card.

well you need to get those packs anyway since currently they are the ONLY way to get nanamo without wasting 400.000 mgp. which is huge. its also the only way to get the 3 other tournament cards. so if you dont have lighting yet dont bother with this npc i say. by the time you gotten the 3 other cards and nanamo youll likely gotten a lighting along the way.

768 victories later...I finally got Lightning card

Wish I could share my luck. I read the horror stories about the Lightning drop rate, but after I got it 20 matches later, I was like "....huh"

Now I am the only person on the forums who hasn't gotten Lightning from Tataru yet then :\ I surely haven't spent near as much time on her as some of y'all though. I'm about 20 wins away from Vaan, and I'm going to guesstimate at least 100-125 of the wins in my roulette category was getting Louisoix from Rowena.


I am glad I got every single Trial card out of the way though. Seems the queues are terrible now for them ;-;

Meh, I thought Rowena was rage-inducing with that god damn 'Random' rule (Yay, 'random' my ass). Now you also have to put up with Roulette rule. At least it allows to get the achievement since nobody wants to duel with that rule lol

I dunno what's worse, though? Getting 2-3 shiva cards every 2 weeks from Triple Cheater Tournaments or wasting time raging at a computer controlled NPC that abuses of its stupid rule to screw you over with to make up for poor AI scripting ?

Got Vaan before Lightning, got Lightning after 618 wins.

You are far from the only one, I havent gotten her from Tataru yet either. Then again I dont actually need to play Tataru since I already Lightning. :p
