Will the Lightning hair ever return?

Unfortunately, i missed both of the events, due to being a newbie. However, it has to be one of the best hairstyles that exists within the game. It's a shame that it must go to waste.

It'd be great if it made a return via Aesthetician or the cash shop, or through the golden saucer

I know people think it's unoriginal, and others will think the hairstyle is a symbol of prestige to have partaken in the event. But is that stuff really important? Is it more important than the lack of decent hair options? Is it?

Please, Square? You'd gain serious brownie points for it.

Give us Yugiri's hairdo, and that's how you score brownie points.

i want Nanamos hairstyle.

but as for lightnings hair. i dont even use it. it looks stupid with most gear in my opinion.

I'd like another shot at Snow's trenchcoat.

I think it probably will. SE seems to give multiple opportunities, (even more so with the cash shop now) to obtain everything since 2.0. Why many of the achievements and things of 1.0 aren't in is mind boggling.

Honestly I'd rather see some new special events rather than bring back old ones. Would be nice to get a chance at some other event hairstyle or something similar.

FFXV is the next big FF game so Noctis would be the next candidate for an event and event rewards.

They'll probably bring it back for the anniversary extravaganza like they did last year, along with the Shantotto and DQX events

Chances are it will return to the next anniversary again. I wouldn't bother worrying before that date.

World's already full of it. There already has been two (or was it three?) opportunities to get it. Everyone and their cousins have that hairdo on. (Seriously, 8 out of every 10 female I see.) It's obnoxious. Time to turn towards more original pieces imo, as much for the devs as for the players.

They should just make lightning's hair available in the cash shop along with all the other event items that have been and gone. Then people can stop whining that they missed the event or that its not available. If they want it that badly then they can pony up for it and keep SE in business while they're at it.

NO! No more lightning, I am lightning, only I can be lightning, no new scrubs allowed to have the things I have, because then I won't feel special!

I have a feeling it might come back, after the expansion, since there will be new players. Or, in the cash shop (hopefully they'll split the package up)

Personally, I'd like to see this added in some way so new players, or those with alts, who didn't get the chance to acquire the item, can do so. It doesn't hurt me or affect my gaming, there's an inevitable opportunity to become FFVII's Cloud, one cannot consider a hairstyle to be "too many" in number.

I believe SE will still continue to make new events, and carry on holiday events.

It's ugly rubbish, and I'll never understand why so many people want it. It pains me to see practically every other female character on Famfrit run around with that thing.

SE needs to put in more new FFXIV styles instead.

Why do you keep asking for things in the cash shop, especially things that were developed with the money from our subs? Things that, if they have to give again, it should be in the game? Where's the logic to that? Do you like to throw your money? Then do something useful and give it to someone that actually needs it.

I'm fine if the event returns so that newbies have a chance to obtain the items (maybe with the anniversary, once again), but FFS, stop with the cash shop pleads. This is a P2P MMO, one of the few that still exists, or at least it should be.

Here's a thought and as much as I dislike CS idea...:
Put them Cash Shop. There I said, it's probably going to be there anyways because
people missed it so much, a lot of other events are in Mog's place too.
But let it be like a few bucks or so, don't go crazy with a hairstyle price.
Do not be surprised if the gear is there too someday.

Otherwise no, I want no more events about her of any kind. If we had another you'll
be seeing more people ask for it again...and again...and AGAIN because they missed it.
Move on to other SE titled games.

I don't have a problem with they adding it again. I already have it but look like you guys want something more to say "I have it and you don't".

Adding it to the shop wouldn't be bad too, though.

The only other hairstyle we have that goes over the shoulder requires that half of your head be shaved.

Seriously? I can't be the only one who notices that it floats a hands breadth above the shoulders of almost everyone that uses it.

Well, LR isn't on steam yet, so if they do add it to steam they might bring the event back. They might even decide to bundle all 3 games into an HD remaster or something, too and that's another chance they might bring the event back.

Why not just wait until next anniversary event?

I would much rather the event come back than the rewards be put in the cash shop.

It's easy for you to say this because you're already using the Lightning haircut. I don't really like it (I think it's kind of ucky not to mention overused) but that's just my opinion. If people want it, why not bring it back?

I hope they bring the lightning hair back. It seems silly to me that they would make a hairstyle limited edition. I understand clothes or accessories, but really? a hairstyle? If they don't make it available for everyone, people will continue to keep asking for it.

I simply cannot stand to look at that hairstyle, the part that hangs over your shoulder is just sitting in thin air, floating above the shoulder by inches. It looks like complete garbage. My OCD would never leave me alone if I had to stare at my character with that god awful hairstyle day in and day out.

Not a fan of lightning hairstyle, it doesn't fit the Miqo'te, sorry it really don't.

My point exactly. Dev team needs to move on to creating more original content (seriously, when something is pretty much an only thing to have a certain feature, and it's from another game, you'd think it's an obvious enough sign), instead of keep on rehashing old.

The hovering bugs me too, but then most of the longer hairstyles hover in some manner if they come anywhere near your body. Blame SE for making room for bulky armor instead of making the hairstyles dynamic. Even if they released another unique over-the-shoulder style it would do the exact same thing.

But the content already exists. Putting in the necessary triggers wouldn't even use a fraction of the effort as putting in a whole new event.

It takes them far less effort to enable an event they already have than it does to create new content whole-cloth. Especially right now with the team trying to get the au ra hair to work right.
Moreover, they add at least one new hairstyle every patch, and they've said in great detail that the process is not as simple as people seem to think it is.

Im surprised they they havent update cashshop with those FF13 event Weapons/Outfits already. o_O

also.. no thanks to old events that was already here 3x in a short amount of time. <.<

If its FF13 again. then the real FF13-2 or 3. with Lightings Etro-knight outfit + weapon+shield. Males gets Caius outfit + Weapon + his hair style)

Also, I would like to dress up my char with Lumina or Yuel cosplay outfits.

oh!? i didnt know that lightning hair is obtained thru some quests? i was there. in lightning returns event. i dont remember what quest but that lightning hair is in my aesthecian right now! i thought that hairstyle is available for everyone :D

I really wish we could get the lightning outfits/hairstyle back.. Put it in the Cash Shop even but new players should be able to get them!

After they add ponytail item in GS, I think they might add it in mog-station cash shop soon.
