Set permissions to eat food.

Some of us just like the tabletop food items for decorating purposes. When a new member enters the FC, we explain the rules: no eating food, it gets wasted and it's expensive. Still, eventually the food disappears, you just can't control people, specially in larger FCs.

So yeah, why not make a ranking setting under housing permission, to enable/disable users to click on food to consume it? It could prevent malicious use, such as troll users eating all 10 uses of a food in a row just to be annoying.

Giving this some bump cake. Either allow permissions or create a new set of recipes for the same food items, but make these not consumable. Kind of like the wooden fruit. :)

I need this too, I specifically said don't touch the chocolate fountain but it's already been consumed once ;-;

This is the bane of my life XD I try to stockpile the festival foods but if they get consumed at all you can't put them back in storage even.

I must try this in my fc! They'll never know it was me xDDDD

Or .. they could make food put out in the open spoil if left uneaten. Like a carrot. Realism+

Decorators have been asking for non-consumable food for years for this particular issue. I remember back when sushi was over 100k and I didn't have Cul leveled. Everytime I tried put out sushi for the sushi restaurant in our FC, the sushi would disappear within a few days. I ended up getting rid of any kitchen or food related design in the FC

Hey, bumping it actually for the opposite reason. I have a personal café-themed appartment and would love it if people could hang out and actually eat stuff. It's not like it gets bad or anything, but what's the point of a café where you can't eat and drink?

So please, dear devs: Please make it adjustable, so people can "lock" and "unlock" food! Maybe add various stages, for FCs based on ranks (incl. self only), for private appartments/houses to self, friends, party members or everyone. :)

This. PLEASE. One reason I want a house is because I learned that the food furniture items existed and I wanted to share them with my friends, only to learn that whoops! I can't actually do that unless they're in an FC with me and the FC has a house, or if one of us has a house and the others are tenants. This is something I expected to be a setting in the Housing options, but it's not. It's small, but it'd be at least one less reason for me to want a house, since in the current system it seems I'm never going to get one.

^THIS. Our guild house is very welcoming and I set out food for visitors, only to realize that I can't feed other people. :( This also goes for my private chambers too!

Especially those old events food that goes to mogstation... I don't want to pay $5 only to have random members eating it :(

Have an option in housing - whether its for FCs or Privately owned.
Can visitors interact with food? Toggle between Yes or No.
Can visitors interact with misc items e.g. Level Checker? Toggle between Yes or No.

That is just 2 possible things that can be added, although it be cool seeing others interact with things, yet stopping them interacting with other things.

Still waiting on this! I set out food as part of the design of the house, and would rather not have any of the food eaten.

Let homeowners select this option in the guest settings, please and thank you?

Well, can we have this, or is it against the policy of milking player with consumables items that shouldn't be in cash shop at the first place?

It is wild that real money food only has 10 charges. You would think food like that gets to have infinite charges, or it puts 10 charges back at the daily or the weekly reset.

Some people use the empty plates and stuff to create other items for housing. :) Would be nice if there were settings like that you could put on it though!

Would love to have a housing menu where I as the house owner could choose one of the following:

Who can eat furniture food? (select only one)

• Anyone
• House members only
• Nobody

Personally, I don't even want to be able select my food as an interactive item, let alone consume it.

I think personally at the very least they could allow when consume to keep the normal look of the item or switch to the consumed version of the item rather than just being defaulted to consumed for a paid item when the charges are depleted

Agreed, although I would add "friends". Otherwise I'm sure you'd have a bunch of people seeing a house ward with "Anyone" settings on many houses as an AYCE buffet... "House members only" is a really small number of people in a personal house, even if you have housemates, that's more feasible for an FC or so.

Heey, also suggesting on this topic. In our FC house, it'd be nice if other members could eat food and use other facilities, such as the unending journey and crafting workstations.

Also, in my private apartment, which I made in cafe theme, it'd nice if visitors could also eat food (or at least some food on the table), and also use other facilities if possible.

This would be nice for lite RP things, as well as little socializing / doing stuff with others.

Agreed. If I put food out, let people interact with it. I would love to have a cafe with good food buffs anyone can come and eat as long as I set my permissions for it.
