Less than 24 hours...

In less than 24 hours, speculation will end, a new patch will be live, and people may (or may not) be extremely pleased / displeased.

I'm seriously just twitching with anticipation at work.

Which I should get back to.

It's strange to me that people are like super excited for this patch. It's the last patch before an expansion. I doubt were going to see anything huge, just the usual remove this cap add this to this dungeon add this to duty finder. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised by something but I'm not holding my breath.

I'll be pleased with the removal of the lockout ONLY because I keep failing to keep a static together cuz people are bailing out on our raid times. It would be nice to be able to PF people we don't have without having to wait forever for someone who hasn't cleared yet for the week.

Frankly this has been grating on my nerves for awhile.

yeah, the price of wootz ore (used to be less than 100gil) was 10K gil as of last night.

I'd suggest not putting anyting of values up in the market board for now, since prices for it might skyrocket tommorow

I am excited, even if it's a 'minor' patch.

Unlimited coils for glamor/gear.
Unlimited WOD for glamor.
Hopefully uncapped poetics for BiS
Our final story! (A year long endeavor brought to an end. Just like t13 in its own right.)

I've been dying for uncapped, challenging content. The last thing we got was Shiva ex, and she was a complete joke!

I'd be surprised at uncapped Poetics. I'd love it, just doubtful that would happen.

I only hope so because to me it makes sense. ^^ I mean, we'll have an unlimited source of i130 and i120... There's no reason to throttle our gear at that point.

I hope they get rid of soldiery and just make it all poetics for now (with uncapped poetics). Soldiery is just about useless and poetics probably should be uncapped with the changes to Coil and WoD.

A 2000 weekly limit Poetics would be enough.

Uncapped would be a bit too much imo.

Keeping it capped at 450 per week would be weird with WoD and FCoB on farm with no locks...

I have a feeling this patch we will see a small increase to the Poetics cap (like we can get 500-600), then in a QoL patch a few weeks from now they up it to 900-1000 and a few weeks before expansion bringing it to 2000 (or remove the cap altogether).

Look at the screenshots. That dragon is HUGE. im so hyped. CM and Praetorium were pretty damn fun before i90+ became the standard. I'm hoping this will be an open world fate, but i wouldnt mind an 8 player encounter either.

No should keep soldiery, that way we can spend a separate currency on stuff pertaining to Relic/Zodiac quest line. And we can continue using poetics for armor/weapon exchange, instead of being forced to choose between relic/zodiac progression or said armor/weapon exchange.

Why have one when you can have two?

When they abolished myths, they didn't increase the amount of soldiery obtained as a reward. While they proportionally decreased the cost of Relic/Zodiac tome exchange, it wasn't the same as being rewarded a huge amounts of myths and some soldiery and splurging on Relic/Zodiac exchange with myths while continuing to use soldiery for armor/weapon exchange.

I'm nearly out of content I care about until the expansion, but uncapping Poetics would at least allow me to gear alts for funzies.

I'm disappointed before i even see the notes, cause it sounds like all we get in easier gear, easier MGP and a Trial that you probably won't hafta do more than once.

Garuda, ifrit, Titan ex during the relevant cycle were a decent challenge, particularly because weak links could cause wipes. They weren't on the level of coil, but they offered a fun challenge for the mid level with decent rewards.

Shiva with a good tank is basically w loot piñata, beat only by t2 enrage

I could see this, but I don't really know what the point would be. The upgrades (twine/coat/tome) are locked behind either:

1.) A raid, in which case you're already getting free i130 gear or
2.) A weekly, which limits you to one upgrade per week regardless.

You could no life hunts, but it would take a significant amount of time to do that anyway. Free i120 gear should come from grinding WoD and farming Poetics, its a good way to give players gear diversity and allow those who can to get the upgrades they want (weekly/raid). We're nearing the end of 2.0, I dunno what the harm would be in handing out free loot at this point.

My whelms, they're completely under. Not even any new Gold Saucer prizes? No new armor/weapon skins besides a moogle hat? Poe cap not lifted/set at 2000? Sweet I can get a tomestone for a 120 weapon, but it will take three weeks with a 450 cap on tomestones. This patch is not the patch I was hoping for, going to be a long 3 months.

Carried a friend of mine trough all the ex modes lately, only him and me queued together, both healers, always killed them with the first DF group. aaand ...

I have been playing since release, so i pretty much know how they were in the beginning and the fact that you even call Garuda Ex a decent challenge back then, is kind of a big joke right? Because even in the beginning it was easier than Titan HM.
