Any word on what is going to happen to our +1, +2 and +3 gear yet?

Has any dev shed any light on this, or can any dev shed some light on this? I think it would be nice for us to know before hand so we can brace ourselves if all of our hq gear gets turned into nq after the patch.

Yeah didn't they tell us earlier that +1 will become NQ and +2 and +3 will be HQ?

I am really not sure. I have looked through quite a few posts trying to get some info on this and I haven't found anything. As far as I know that was the general consensus but nothing had been confirmed by any Devs yet. I could be completely wrong though, and it may have been posted somewhere.

I think Reinhart did a dev translation a little while ago. But those are loose translations so it's still open to interpretation.

I would like to know this as well, I will hate my Banneret Lance+2 to basicly become a +1, or maybe they could keep +2 gear, and you can talk to an NPC to get some really good materia to be infused to it, for a limited time then they could make any +2 gear left into HQ in 1.20, which would give anyone playing plenty of time to get the materia on them.

Just a wild suggestion.

I think the transition to "HQ" will provide the stats of +2 or +3 items anyways, not +1. Also, they could change the way HQ stats work entirely.

Why pay 3 mil for a hauby +2 if a +1 will have the same stats in a few weeks? There is a large price gap in r50 gear between +1 and +2, if that gap is going to be removed there will be a lot of pissed off people who spent a lot of money.

I think i read it is going to be a while before the NQ HQ change happens, as in post 1.20. Looking for yoshi-p post.

I think you may need to scroll up to a previous post I made.

From what I understand... Anything NQ or +1 will become just "NQ" and anything +2 or +3 will become "HQ" and bear similar stats to a +2/+3 item, not a +1 item.

Good, I guess it's the OCD in me but I was just thinking how frustrating it was that I keep getting +3 and NQ items lol :) I'd be ok with keeping gear qualities the same. I have all these old +1 and +2 mats in my inventory I don't want to get rid of either just because they are still better than NQ :P

I actually have a thread about this very topic. Yoshi answered the question pretty much. +2's are still up in the air but likely to become HQ.

Yoshi's comment specifically says "materials"...

I suspect that Finished Goods will just be grandfathered in. There is no need to take them away because recipes or other things don't depend on them (mostly). Their value/presence will also diminish over time as no more new ones are created, there is player turnover, and newer better gear is introduced.

That's what I thought at first as well but people seem to be adamant about it not being the case. All we can do at this point is hope for an official response that directly talks about current equipment.
