Relic Nexus drop rate

It may be me, but how can playing a game be enjoyable when the drop rate of the items you need from dungeons are HORRIBLE. Doing 24 runs in Wander's Palace with no drop rate should not occur, it makes me so frustrated and just not do it at all.

A couple things, 1) nobody makes you do the relic, yeah it's the best weapon, but if it really causes you this much distress, don't do it. 2) it's the best weapon in the game, they will make it a serious pain. 3) with 2.55, they will most likely increase the drop rate quite a bit.

To all the people that want to complain that the "just don't do it" attitude is wrong, it's the truth

It just reminds me previously ppl said "it is not the best weapon even not the second best, no one put the gun on your head to farm ATMA...etc" ^^;

I agree it is not enjoyable and I have read some ppl said over 50runs no drop...

The average drop rate is 10%. It will take 160 dungeon runs on average. The people who have whined the loudest, when they posted their actual numbers, were never more than the 160 run average that I saw (or at least, not much more).

Getting your nexus required 2,000 light. If you did that via dungeons prior to 2.4, at 8 light per dungeon (12 on bonus) that would have taken 250 dungeon runs (only 167 if all were on bonus). Sure, there's other ways to get the light, such as Garuda HM spam, but still. The Zodiac phase does not require more work than the Nexus phase did at release.

For that matter, you can look at the Novus phase as requiring 30,000 Soldiery (with 200 AS = 400 Soldiery, you get 400 free soldiery per day, and FATEs have a 1-5% chance of dropping 400 Soldiery). Farming up all that Soldiery takes way longer than running 160 dungeons. Even if every dungeon gave 40 soldiery, it would take 750 dungeon runs to get all 75 alex from just dungeon runs.

Why do people whine so hard about Zodiac? It's easier than Nexus, easier than Novus, and less of a pain than Atma was at release. Heck, I prefer Zodiac over Animus even - killing 900 enemies was such a chore. Plus, you can do Zodiac as any class, so your queue times are instant, unlike Nexus where the queue times were huge.

So, really, it's not that bad. 24 runs with no drop may be worse than average by itself, but it will all average out in the end.

Also, this is a game, not a job. If you aren't having fun, you're doing it wrong.

THANK YOU.... where's all the hate for Animus??? That is by FAR the grindiest and worst stage in the chain. And to be honest, the drop rate for Zodiac is prob closer to 20% than 10%.

Look for the all first drop AV testimonials if you want to brighten your day.

I'm not done yet, but it seems fine to me.

At least you can change jobs and goof around on your secondary jobs while you do it.

Being confined to running content on one type of job was more annoying IMO.

So far drop rate is ok on me, i think roughly 5 runs, longest is about 10. but then again

it is possible 100000000000 run with 0 drop, on extremely-extremely^100 unfortunate people

It's a bit annoying, but other stages were worse in my opinion. I luckily went 1/2 and 1/1 on the pre-50 dungeons though. No such luck on the post 50's though. Sitting at around 0/6 (AK), 0/2 (CM HM), 0/3 (TT HM), and 1/6 (WP) on the ones I've done.

I rather have Soulglazing V2, rather than this Atma in disguise

Best part about doing Zodiac the second time? You can do it while soulglazing. I'm doing that - just started Zodiac collection and Soulglazing at the same time. I'll have to see which one finishes first, but my money's on the Zodiac.
