2.5 Part 2 Main Scenario Image
-
SPOILERS INSIDE
The mysterious Dragoon is probably the same said Dragoon from the Dragoon-Story Quests, as he is being influenced by the Eye of Nidhogg. His name is Estinien.

The dragon is named Vishap. Taken from Armenian mythology, you can read more here:
http://www.armeniapedia.org/wiki/Vishap
I'd say the "water based" part has been tossed out, but most of these iterations see slight alterations, and the wiki mentions that in some iterations he's known to breathe fire.

So Y'shtola is casting Holy?

Holy is a WHM spell, not CNJ

Y'shtola is pure Conjurer but unique to her character is her own power to create magnteic fields which results in her shield abilities that can deflect any attack.
-
Looks to me like they got invited to a "party" to be captured hence they defending themselves later.
-
question is... will we be sided with Minfilia or the rest? It looks like there will be 2 groups then... 3 if you count the Braves... Less than 1 week left! The story is definitely one of the best content lately imo
-

I wondered what happened to him.
-

This is awesome. I really enjoyed the DRG quests. Probably
one of my favourites.
DRG's getting more love in 3.0! xD
Pretty nice they are expanding their story.
Stuff inside.

Ya I notice it was him the moment I saw him in the 2.5 trailer. Though I wonder how much of the 2.5 Part 2 dialogue in the Ishgard part will be affected between players that completed the Dragoon Job Quest and those that did not complete the Dragoon Job Quest.

All the better reason to NOT level DRG on your alt ;)

Welp, im not touching Main Scenario until I get a Dragoon to 50 asap. I love all the little alterations to the dialogue about whether or not you did this or that, like how Yugiri comments how you have the proficiency for ninjustsu if you didnt unlock Ninja. Or how the Flames call you Lieutenant "Your last name here" if you're part of the flames. I want to squeeze out every single bit of dialogue that i can,
-
I would expect story continuations for other classes, as well. Or, at least make this part of the main scenario line (and the DRG quest connection only an easter egg).
At least, I hope so. Having to have one particular job in order to get what's shaping up to be a highly central story arc is really awkward and lame for those who don't play it.
-
I doubt it will be, and I'm sure this next update (Before the Fall Part 2) will fill in who this Dragoon is and how the Dragoon gains their power; catching everyone up in the story-thus-far if you will. However if you want to see the events unfold before you in glorious cutscene dialogue you'll probably have to level up Dragoon to 50 to see the events. But if you are bored and want a good story the Dragoon's story is actually really good, and it does touch a bit on Ishgard and the way the city-state is run.

Well it may be possible for future storys for Job NPCs to be involved in MSQ but only if they have a type of strong relation to that MSQ events. Estinien appearance in 2.5 Part 2 MSQ fits into both Ishgard and his lore since he is the former Azure Dragoon before he turned against Ishgard.
-
one of midgarsormer trials?
-
Don't think its really his "trial" as much as it is an attack and more than likely the reason why Ishgard opens its doors to the adventurers.

This has been deconfirmed since she clearly cast Holy in the Dissidia Arcade Trailer.

They had to give her skills. It makes no sense that she has holy because its a WHM skill and she is a Conjurer. The only reason why they gave her Holy is because she needed a skill set. They needed to add some skills to her that make some sense so she isn't just spamming stone.

Yeah, but Terra also has blonde hair in Dissidia so that game loses its credibility =)
(I'm aware of the "reasons")

We can play this game all we want. NPCs do not follow the same rules as us. All it is, is flag checks or flag toggles to allow them to use abilities not flagged for us to use. She may be a CNJ, but she has access to Holy. As for Terra, her orginal color is in the game so it counts. Personally I like her new color more.

That is way too good a move. That plus Stoneskin? Maybe if it's only for the caster, sure. Party wise, that's not happening.
