Please, please, please, please, please, for the love of god... make this happen. I can't count the number of times I've been at Cloud of Darkness and some jerk has to clear waymarkers every time A, B, and C are placed.
It is really inconvenient and it makes no sense why there are chat announcements for player markings but not way marks. It impedes upon gameplay and the experience as a whole, not to mention the fact that you can't even find out who's doing it so you can report them. GG, SE?

To add to this it would be nice for one more waymark (Waymark D) OR Ground only waymarks for the smaller fights where you want to know where to go but dont want the overhead mess because you are looking for icons above players' heads (like Dive Bombs)

You do realize that you may not be the only person that putting them down at the start of the fight. I've been on many myself and once their up they stay up... Who really has time to move them anyways.

T9 you do move them mid-fight. There are other fights where its not needed but for the sake of helping someone learn the fight could be moved mid-fight.

You can still report a griefing player who keeps removing waymarks in WoD, causing wipes. Having a name makes the GM's job easier but they can still see the instance activity log and get the name from there. Just give them an approximate server time and go forward with the report.

Those werent meant to mark terrain to handle mechanics but were added for the 24 man raids only. I cant remember exactly what they said, but it was something like: a 4th mark would be too convenient and make things too easy. or something like that. Ya Id also like such a feature. Weve wiped 2 times with some fairly new players at the last boss in wod cause someone always removed all 3 when it was time to move to your teams add. I managed to put them down right when they spawn so most players got a glimpse at them and knew where to move. on the other hand that team that probably did this was getting locked out with half their team on those adds every single time and it definitely looked like it was on purpose...but we cleared it on the 3rd try :)
Back ontopic: The same problem occured with the rdy check when it was added. Ppl abused it hard in the 24 man raids and then they added a message who started it. Would be nice if we could get similar messages: "Player A placed Waymark A" or "Player B removed all three waymarks". -

Well just because they said they didn't intend it to work that way doesn't mean it won't ever happen. I mean look back at FFXI, Ninja was never intended to be a tanking class, but it became that role. And instead of demanding the players to not use it as a tank they actually buffed its ability to tank.
Even if they don't add another Waymark it would be nice if there were Ground Only Waymarks, or the ability to toggle off the floating letter and half-wall graphics and just have a colored circle on the ground. But the best thing they could do is allow us to custom-input waymarks, as these fights get more and more complicated with more and more phases and mechanics having those reminders wouldn't hurt on where to be during Phase 123. -

I couldn't imagine doing some fights without waymarkers. Shiva EX, T11, and of course others are all very dependent upon player positioning. I can't rely on 7 other people to look at their mini-map and properly assess their position and make the appropriate response. Therefore, it's easiest for them to just scan the field and find their respective spots for tethers, markers, whatever.
I just want to be made aware of who's marking what and who's clearing markers so that we can't be perpetually hindered in WoD. Honestly would've thought something like this would have been implemented sooner, but I understand SE has a lot on their plate with this game.
