If A Realm Reborn had a Hollywood Cast...

Some of these aren't bad... but 90% of the primals are just... no. The only one i could see is Charlize Theron as Shiva. Morgan Freeman has an awesome voice but for Midgardsomr? That would be a bit... odd lol

You have some really good choices in there, I think I would have to watch that! Though I was actually going to suggest Terry Crews as Godbert. :P

it would be awesome but a waste of money seeing how ffxiv is a known mmo but no where near as wow.

Nice, but I would cast Morgan Freeman as Ramuh and Jon. H Benjamin as Hildebrand.

Keep Ultros as DeVito though please, oh my god...

For Alphinaud I'd say Thomas Brodie-Sangster is a better fit. >.>

Nah, keep Gideon Emery as Urianger, he's done acting as well as voice acting. Plus I just really like Gideon Emery's voice acting in most of his roles.

Eugh, yeah. I shudder to think at the gross parody of FFXIV a hollywood version would be (like every hollywood adaptation). Thankfully, there's 0 chance of it.

I chuckled at the thought of Morgan Freeman doing Midgardsormr's voice

FFXIV would be shite if it had a Hollywood cast. Very few NA actors can do British accents and the game would sound awful.

It was very funny trying to come up with the list, we had a lot of fun doing it. A couple of my personal favourites were Ifrit as Steve Buscemi and Cloud of Darkness as Helena Bonham Carter. :)

Who said they had to have British accents? It's Eorzea, not Great Britain.

Back to the original post, are they referring to voice overs, or live action? I mean some just don't make sense.

I would replace Sylvester Stallone for Dave Bautista as Titan. He's bigger physically and ripped. Sly is about 5' 9" while Bautista is about 6' 5". His name is Titan and needs to tower over people. Hell, maybe even Kane from WWE would be good who's about 7', he's just not as toned as Bautista.

Godbert should be Chuck Norris, though. He kicks all kinds of ass!

Thancred comes off as someone who looks younger, but I got no one in mind. Maybe the guy from Prison Break, who's actually older.

Scarlett Johanson would be wasted under all that cloth as Yugiri.

And please no Shia LaBeouf! Yuck!

Most of its it OK. Chuck Norris makes the movie, but lack of Samuel l Jackson makes me sad.

I don't know about others but Reese Witherspoon to me does not have the quiet serene aura required for Kan E Senna, she maybe could do it, but I've seen a lot of her movies and I don't know, it just doesn't fit I guess xD

I love Sir Ian McKellen but I think I would replace him with Christopher Lee for Ramuh, only because his voice seems to have more of an ancient wise feel to it.

Somewhere out there there's a calculator that would tally the cost of casting this...and I think this would break it.

Yeah it's Eorzean British, because a lot US accent are bland and boring so they didn't
bother putting many in it.
This is why you have Laura damn ass Bailey in nearly every single anime/game there is lol.

They'd be all white people (except Raubhan, maybe? He looks more with a mulatto complexion than black), and that makes me very sad.
