99 ventures and a fat cat ain't one.

So, I've burned through 99 venture tokens and no fat cat. This is on XIV. How's everyone else's luck? I got another stack before I have to go back to daily grinding. /shrug.

Though not a fat cat I did get a minecart on first time exploration 14. Nothing since then lol

I've spent well over 500 ventures, and I've never seen Fat Cat.
I'm pretty sure this is standard luck. You shouldn't expect to get super rare things from ventures. Just be happy/excited when you get something! :D

2 retainers on venture XIV+ for months and nothing ever.

I'm still trying for a minute mindflayer...

Got a Fat Cat on XIV on 4th one. Haven't seen another since and it's been over a stack and half of ventures.

Mine got me

Leathery wines, beeswax, lanolin, a bed, a few different masks, camp fire, cobalt chain links, etc.

I'm starting to think they are up to sometime.

I went 110ish days before getting a fat cat, doing the ventures at least once a day or sometimes slightly more when I'd happen to catch a completion and restart it immediately.

Just keep sending them out - my fisher is on exploration since the Fat Cat was added, got nothing from release to mid January - then 3 cats in one week, nothing since then, then 2 cats in the last two weeks.


Sadly it is just random luck - i got none when they sold for 10-8m on my server, got 3 in the week they dropped from 6 to 3m, used one, got to sell only one of the other two due to constant underpricing. Now they are 1.8m and i just let them sit in my retainer box because i cba to battle with 13 other people for the lowest price all day.

At least its warm and fuzzy in there - and my Mi'qote is turning in a cat lady *ba-dumm-tss*

I got my first one today. 200+ ventures accross 2 lvl 50 FSH retainers. they seem to be very very very rare.

That's quick venture... That's basically just for dye and random stuff. The 18 hour ones give various minions.

I think I sent mine on about 30 attempts before it brought fat cat back... Gave up and bought a mindflayer cause they were cheap.

Even on the Field Exploration ventures, all I get are dyes, fish, Allagan coins and housing parts.

You only get the minions on the two highest Explorations - anything lower usually just gives you useless crap...

I've gotten three Fat Cats in less than a week now spanning across 2 characters with a total of 5 Fishing Retainers. RNG at it's finest.

Dont feel bad. Ive burned through 300+ Quick ventures trying to get a rare dye.. Ive only managed to get Gold one time. I was trying for Pure white....
My retainers are all well geared too and most have the "Should be able to procure rarer items" msg.

My luck has been strangely consistent. I've bagged one every 1 1/2 to 2 months.

Dunno how many ventures I've used, but sending out two retainers on Fishing XIV daily since Fat Cats were first introduced, I've only picked up three.

I got really impatient after only 25 ventures w/ my Fisher and just bought one for like 2.5mil. Worth every gil.

I got one fat cat and two littlefoots, no minecarts. RNG.

5 fat cats with a single retainer on XV+XVI during the past 3 or 4 months so far

Let's see... 2 or 3 Minute Mindflayers, 1 Littlefoot, 2 Miniature Minecarts, and 2 Fat Cats, all but the mindflayers in the last month.

I'm liking this for the title alone. But yes, most of us feel your pain on this one. There's just not enough fat cat love to go around.
