I am now 15 and my gear is lacking I can not use the market nor do I want to at low levels because you out level gear so quick so I was wondering where I can find merchants that sell gear for my level as I gain every 5 levels or so? Please let me know.Thanks...

From what I've noticed, you can usually buy level appropriate gear at camps where you usually accept that level range's leves. Using the Limsa region as an example, at level 15 you can start to do leves at Aleport. There is a merchant in Aleport that will sell gear appropriate for levels 15-20. Going by the database, http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...c/10a26df097c/, the merchant seems to be at (22, 22). There may be some exceptions, such as possibly Quarrymill. The leves in Quarymill range from 20-30, but I think the gear sold is only for either the lower or upper 20s from what I remember.

Honestly any gear you find from a merchant is going to be the same gear players can craft. You'll likely be able to find it CHEAPER on the marketboards, as well as high-quality versions (slightly higher stats, on par with dungeon drops of the same item level)

NPC sell more expensive... Market Board more cheaper.
But I suggest don't buy it, ask you FC friend to craft for you, don't ask for HQ gear ask them to craft normal gear, they will hep. -

Ye, I would suggest u to visit market more often, cause some leves or class quests reward you with some pieces of gear. And ofc when half of server have same stuff they sell it very cheap. But. If u plan on focusing some single class so far just don't bother with gear untill you are 50 lvl. From 50 all gear stuff are bought with different tomestones, which are rewarded to u for dungeons, fates, leves, treasure maps, etc.

Something that costs a couple thousand gil from a vendor might be available one day for only a couple hundred on the MB, but another day the MB listings might start at ten or twelve thousand, or might not be available at all. Vendors are the fallback when the MB either doesn't have what you want or only has it at ridiculously high prices. (And knowing what vendors would charge for it helps identify what qualifies as "ridiculously high prices".)Quote:

This is the the other big reason for checking the MB. Vendors only sell normal quality, so if a HQ version is available and affordable on the MB, it beats out anything else you can buy. (And sometimes you'll find HQ items for not much more than the NQ ones cost.) This is a particularly significant benefit for weapons, given how important their Damage stat is to your effectiveness, and for the major left side armour like chest and leg pieces. It takes literally two more button presses to HQ a piece of level 15 gear (Great Strides + Advanced Touch - 500 quality should be enough). I can't imagine why anyone would craft an NQ item for a new player (instead of HQ), and the mats for those very low-level items are dirt cheap from NPC vendors.
If the OP was on my server, I'd offer to help, but since I'm not, hopefully he has people he can ask (such as an FC). -

I don't where you all have been, but buying gear from the marketboard is 30% to as much as 50% more expensive then buying it from a merchant's shop. The tiny bit of higher quality you get from buying a crafted item on the marketboard is not worth the exorbitant prices that are charged. I only buy from the marketboard if I am desperate.
