That's not against the TOS.. as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong. 2x account vs 7x account is the same difference? Using those accounts to hoard money and to sell it for real life currency is wrong.

Lauro, I've seen a few of these threads and nothing ever happens. There's no proof of RMT and to be honest, SE is probably happy there's more than 10 people playing this game.
BTW, if I was an RMT, I would rather shoot myself than farm gil for this already inflated-market of a game. -

It's definitely RMT, but at this point I don't see anything happening. The server population is already tenuous at best, if they started banning people for unsavory actions like botting, I daresay we'd lose 20% more people, bringing our grand total to like five users.
Still, I can't exactly fault you for trying, I wish you luck. -

Also, if RMT were extremely prevelant, then I think we'd see a huge depreciation of lower level gear, which just isn't the case on our server.

People have been banned before for posting videoes of rmt, that was a kinda funny case, the guy said he didnt bot or anything, they checked up both him and the one who told it. Turns out he had botted to, (or something like that), it was many "i lost my account" etc posts earlier. SE has a nice policy (after being sued a couple of times) that they won't ban if not 100% sure. Also, player pictures "can be edited" it is no real proof. It is better to send in the form they got, and just continue on your path, than posting pictures. One guy used fraps to film a botter. He got banned for using fraps (third-party program) all this was in the start of the game though. Check old posts at zam :)

Wow, FRAPS is considered a third party tool? It doesn't really give anybody an unfair advantage. People record videos of themselves and upload to youtube all the time in both XI and XIV. On a side note this video is just pure awesome-sauce. I think the highlander's expression at 0:53 is the best part about it :)

It's RMT because the Conjurer is basically a shepard to like a dozen little Lalafell, still in weathered starting gear, all R32 CON, and it's especially apparent when you see them all doing levequests "together."
Rather brilliant honestly, even if you only get about 5k gil for that particular quest, it's 5k going 8 ways, with minimal effort. Now multiply that 40,000 by the amount of leves you could potentially do x8 every 36 hours, and it's a fairly staggering amount for how easy it is.
Edit: Checked the profiles on Lodestone, it's been a little while since I was Physical Level 17, but I'm pretty sure they aren't even bothering to allocate any stat points. -

I still dont see the "Real Money Trading" in this.
There sholdnt be any diffrence in me dual-boxing either even thou i dont even care for "RMT",
why would i even pay for ingame currency when it's not even hard to come by, espcially if dual-boxing for personal gain.
But ya "Some" try the real "RMT" thing and make a profit, stupid imo.
Those that do should get a real job, ya i real-life hard working job.
However not all dual-boxer's, including myself should be related to "RMT" just because we dual-box.
If that were the case they need to enforce 1 charcter / account. (and that wouldnt even be enough)
And...idk about many of you, but i havent seen a single RMT spam in chat log
since the release of the game, atleast not on my server.
SE did a good job letting the players get a decent amount of gil for their achievements in the game.
Decreasing the earned gil would most likely increase RMT activities , so ya it's a tough one.
And finally, no...im not trying to defend any "RMT" activities at all even though it might sound if i am. -

Again guys you do know that RMTS also deal in accounts right ??? he has 7-10+ accounts in which hes goign to make money by selling those account. Do you guys seriusly dont see a problem in this ? Making money out of selling accounts its a bannable offense.

if you want to get rid of RMT,check the RMT pages for holes, and get a lawyer to sue them. (such as ,if its EU based,it must have a subpage with the owner,address,taxnr etc,if not,you can sue it,its a law under the EU-Rights,based on all nations who take part in the EU),such methods are very usual in Lux/Ger/austria
but in your posting,you prove simply nothing, you have screenshots of players who do tasks,"it may be" one person with several PCs,"it may be" one pc with a sandbox style setup, "it may be"..just good timing from differend players
too many assumptions to get even a GM to look into the playerdata.
but i can tell you, what it proves. it proves that this players are NOT selling currency,they do NOT cry/shout for selling anything,they do NOT do a trade with ingame currency for realcash,they do NOT advice any webpage.
simple said.you lost the sense for realism quite fast,and assume things into players,its kinda risky,if i would see screenshots from me n my hubby,i would report you,for stalking,thats playerabuse,and SE handles such cases quite fast.

small advice, read the ToS,and read the Forum Rules,about posting names,pointing out players etc.
seen such matters in FFXI,and other games,and if people keep going that direction like you do,i report them myself,quite fast,with the right parts of the ToS/forum rules,for rulebreaking in form of blackmailing/insulting/stalking/playerabuse.

Even though Rule-Enforcement is likely nowhere intended as a player-activity, it might be OK'ish in a game where you can actually do something to hinder the botters a little (PvP environments), though not as to enforce the rules, but well, if you can attack them at your hunting-spot, then why not! But here it is really quite pointless as there is basically nothing we can do, as regular players. After ridding the 'reporting to the community' part from the topic, there doesn't seem to be much left to discuss.
A word on 'dual-boxing'.
Assuming the policy is the same as it is for FFXI, it is fine to play on as many accounts at the same time as one is paying for, as long as the game-client is not modified in any way (such as altering the client so that more than one instances can be started where they normally couldn't and/or software to control the character(s) for you, also known as botting). Imagine 2 or more computers and/or consoles.
Obviously account-trading/sharing is prohibited as well so using many accounts that are not one's property is not allowed either.
But I've already gone on for too long so I'll stop while I still can. ^^;
Try to enjoy the game more, and worry less about things that are the service provider's concerns is what I (and many others surely would) say. :]

I know how you feel. It disturbs my mind to a great deal whenever I see a train of 7 people following on a single THM who does all the job in killing mobs or doing LQ, or a group of all Lalafell, all THM, naked and with level 1 weapon standing at the Aetheryte doing nothing but linking Levequest then waiting for the "leader" to finish quest and net them LQ reward EXP.
So I keep sending screenshots as well as detailed information to the Special Task Force through SE support page, whenever I see "suspicious" group of characters. I also note in my report that I have no proof that they're RMTs, but I feel they're highly suspicious and I urge the STF team to investigate or watch their activities. Hope they will do something to those character some day.
And I don't know if it's just that I don't bump into them anymore, or that they have stopped the activities, or that the investigation had resulted in banning them, those characters are gone by now. -

We understand that suspicious behavior such as odd names, synchronized movement, and always rolling in the same group are factors used to consider when investigating.
