Is it significant all the monsters in the trailer were fought by groups?

What is that suppose to mean, do you think? Are these monsters really that challenging? Is there a reward to fighting them assuming they are just mobs that roam the area? How will the quests part of the main storyline be handled then?


Any answer would be speculation obviously, because we won't know until it's here. I know some little annoyance will try and bring that up. Any ideas on how this might work though?

Or it's a trailer for an MMO, and MMO trailers always emphasize the multiplayer part.

This is probably the reasoning behind it, but I do hope we will have the option to level up with light parties in the new over world areas!

After the "chocobo raising" part in older trailer I don't trust trailers for showing the actual gameplay anymore. I just watch them to hype myself and watch the new areas.

The character creation benchmark for 2.0 showed much the same thing.

I'm more interested in that PLD doing consecutive attacks so quickly in succession.

I'm sure they showed in the trailer groups doing FATEs and Hunt

They are talking about the "Tour of the North" video released during Pax East. The one that shows a few of the Heavensward zones.

dont remember what interview or whatever it was, but i recall yoshi saying there'd be a bit more danger in the world in 3.0 so could be related. or as others above have said, mmo marketing.

Lets just hope mobs in the new area will actually kill us and not put heavy status, I would rather die 100 times than to have heavy for 18secs.
