I... cannot disagree with that.
Indeed they have popped. Like a balloon, not a spawn.
nooooooooooooo what music?
GDI I DID NOT COLLECT THE STACKS OF SPARKLERS I WANTED.
The end of this music brings great joy! This calls for a celebration!! *queue new, and equally annoying music*
YES! It felt like I was on a game show! I'm glad it's gone!
Finally i can log back in :)
Did most of you dislike the summer music? I thought it was catchy as hell.
I liked it at first, felt festive. But it should've been restricted to the main towns and the hamlets. Not in the field please!
It's pretty bad when your 7 year old kid walks around the house humming the festival theme, even when I'm not logged into FFXIV. Now that the music is gone, I still have to listen to her humming it! You brainwashed my daughter SE! :p
You guys are lucky you only had to listen to it in game. I live on the 28th floor of my condominium and they play the same song in the elevator. :(
You have a mariachi band in your elevator?
I had to turn off the ingame music after about 2 days. I could not take it anymore. The music was everywhere.
In case you need additional hyperbole on this, I was OVERJOYED when the normal Ul'dah music played during cutscenes.
You can still listen to the music, it's in Ul'dah's opening CS. Took me forever to figure this out lol.
So no, it's not gone entirely :P
needs more DAT swaps. I know people have figured out how to do it as well...I WANT TO KNOW HOW
but how do you make the new DAT file LOOP!? DAT IS THE QUESTION
*reactivates BGM*
I liked it..for a short while anyways XD I found myself unconsciously turning my computer volume down after listening to it for too long.
Unfortunately a majority of people seemed to dislike it. I even saw people /shouting in uldah's streets saying they couldn't stand it O.o
The music totally fit the event, but like most people here...Since I'm lower ranked still I heard it in EVERY ZONE and CAMP I WENT TO. The times I would venture a little farther out and hear normal Black Shroud music...oh god it was heavenly <3
It was catchy as hell!
I rest my case.
I could not stand the horns but I grew to appreciate the bass line and overall Uematsu magic of the tune. I think with a live band it'd be a nice mellow number to sip a mojito to at a beach side restaurant...
...so long as it wasn't the only tune they played over and over and over...
At first it wasn't so bad, but I think it would've been better if they just played it in towns at night when the fireworks were going off and not in the fields.
Ah, yes... the festival has ended. I guess now I'll have to find something productive to do instead of just running around collecting ash for 16 alts...
(heh... I have issues. =P I'm the reason they charge extra... It's the only way to contain me!!!)
Anyway, I do like the festival theme, it was just too... too... much... (And every loop, I kept hearing the horn that puppet used in the Ul'dah intro; even though the sound wasn't actually played... o.o)
I to enjoyed the music for the first day or so. after that i wanted to punch something soft and cuddly.
Lets just hope next time they limit where you hear the music a bit. I don't think i would have loathed the track as much if i only heard it close to the hamlets and in a certain part of town.
Hurray! Now I can play with the sound turned back on again!
That samba feeling it has finally passed-phew. Yah it was good but holy crap it reverberated in my brain after awhile it was TOO CATCHY.
Thank god lol.
weird cabana music in the middle of Blackshroud = WIN
it got in your head, and wouldn't go away. like the music when you go to buy new crap for your sims in the sims games!
