Black Tower FC <<TOWER>> now recruiting.

We're seeking 5-10 active adventurers in preparation for Heavensward. Founded in August 2013, <<TOWER>> is a small, tightly-knit group of adventurers with approximately 25 active members across the US Eastern, Central and Pacific timezones. We've grown over the past year and a half and want to expand and bring the FC into the new 3.0 era.

What sets us apart from other FCs? In a word: professionalism. Like any other FC out there, we've had our fair share of drama, but we've synthesized these negative experiences into crucial lessons learned. The end result is implementation of guidelines to ensure that every member can maximize their gaming experience in an organized, professional, friendly environment. We're organized and professional, but not hardcore. We're casual and friendly, but not disorganized.

It's an exciting time to join <<TOWER>> as preparations for Heavensward are in full operation. The other officers and I have discussed future initiatives and fundraising in anticipation of the FC airship feature in 3.0 has been initiated.

Every Tuesday night we run The Gift of the Archmagus (LoA, ST, WoD) at 9 p.m. EDT, and we'd like to see two full parties filled to enter as a pre-made alliance. One recurring question our recruiters have gotten is how "active" we are. It's difficult to quantify activity, and so before embarking on our pre-Heavensward recruitment drive, we needed to come up with a method of measurement.

The concept we've come up with is "effective membership." Effective membership is the number of members who log on at least once every 24 hours divided by our total number of members, to give us an effective membership percentage (EMP).

Currently, our EMP is at roughly 61%. In the interest of transparency, here are the raw numbers:

Total membership as of 3/26/15 = 33 (37 minus one alt and three players on extended break for real life commitments)
Number of players who consistently keep last log in time under 24 hours = 20

Please continue to ask us questions and express interest in joining.

First, I wanted to congratulate four new players out of our first pre-Heavensward recruiting "class" on reaching level 50. Congratulations, Kivec, Calico, Dkere, and Elasha!

It was an arduous journey for them as most of us grizzled old veterans remember when we all first made that journey to level 50. At <<TOWER>>, we're always striving to put you in the best possible position for success in whatever your in-game goals might be.

Whether you're a new player fresh off the chocobo cart getting dropped off for the first time at a city-state and pick-pocketed by a shifty-eyed lalafell or a seasoned veteran with 8 Zeta weapons, we'd love to have you with us for Heavensward and beyond.

I hope everyone has taken their tax refund and pre-ordered Heavensward so you don't miss out on the early access. If you owed the IRS for 2014, I'm sorry. But let's be honest; pre-ordering Heavensward is a worthy expense!

We're now under two months until early access to Heavensward and preparations at <<TOWER>> are in full swing. We're at approximately one-third of our fundraising goal, and all FC members, new and veteran, are working diligently to help each other achieve their remaining in-game goals for the current content.

We're only about 1 month and 10 days until Heavensward and we're still looking for an additional 15 active adventurers to meet our new goal of approximately 50 active members. As such, recruitment is still open!

In particular, we'd like to bring on more healers and casters to bolster our FC's overall tactical flexibility, but we won't turn you away if you don't play those roles primarily. We're happy to have anyone that fits within our ethos of professionalism.

I'm pleased to report that we've added a significant number of new and veteran adventurers to our ranks since my last update and we're working harder than ever to help everyone get caught up in the story line, Coil, and EX primals. We're very close to our goal of 50 active members.

I hope everyone is enjoying Heavensward as thoroughly as I am. With this being the first post-Heavensward update, allow me to bring all of you potential new members up to speed on <<TOWER>>'s current agenda:

1. Actively assisting all members obtain at least one level 60 job and main scenario completion, and possible implementation of weekly levequest (L) night for exp.
2. Actively assisting all returning members complete 2.0-2.55 main scenario to unlock 3.0 content.
3. Discussing formation of second static group for 3.0 raids and beyond (frequency and schedule TBD).
4. Weekly open raid training session implemented and designed to acclimate players new to raiding to raid-quality mechanics in First, Second, Final Coil setting.
5. Clear Bismarck, Ravana EX.
