Duty Finder > Data centre (Primals Down?) 2002

Clicked accept to get into a duty finder.. now constantly data centre error.. Lobby 2002

They mentioned there was going to be maintenance on all NA servers today and that disconnects might happen.

Normally they post system messages from an hour prior. and I don't remember seeing any before disconnecting. Last checked all servers were still up.

EDIT: By the looks of it they may have up and pulled the plug with out paging out the request to log out.. Now its just a 6 hr wait till it comes back up. I can see if its emergency maintenance but.. This looks more like a last minute sort of thing.

Yep, the same problem. Exactly as it occurred some time ago. People get disconnected when logging to the instance servers and then cannot relog to the data center. Lobby error.

The only fix is to not do maintenance on a Saturday night. But that's just crazy talk.

Unfortunately we're probably out of luck for the next 6 hours (the duration of the maintenance).

Only the English and Japanse(?) maint info seem to say, you may not be able to play, but can login if try enough.

The German and france Info on the maint says - you can not play at all.

So question >> which is it ?

This is really stupid and equates to: We will be booting you at 9pst and you will be unsuccessfully trying to log back in for who knows how long. Apparently "temporarily" means indefinitely. And no server message at all. Annoying. Save the maintenance for non-primetime, dummies.

Well logging back in isn't working at all so...

we are on aether my Wife was DC'd right after doing a daily but when she tried to log back in she got 2002, odd since it's kinda looking like it affected mostly people in, joining or just left a DF. BTW I'm still online.

im getting server errors as well. ill just take a hour break and grab something to eat lol

It should be known that the servers arent down.. most of my LS friends are still in Gold saucer.. its only if you try to change to a duty instnce that you will get booted.

-sigh- seems that the server couldnt take me getting a morbol card out of aurum vale x_x

Also that maintenance cant be the cause since its not even 9pm yet according..

So they do maintenance on many Monday and Wednesday evenings, and now Saturdays as well apparently. It's kind of hard to find an evening when a casual gamer can sit down and enjoy this game.

Error 2002 after attempting to join duty instance. Unable to log back in since. Guess I should have just crafted tonight :(

Servers are not down. And maintenance has nothing to do with it. The same issue occurred not a long time ago: massive disconnections during instances loading and inability to relog to the game after that.

Maintenance has everything to do with it. Instances were working plenty fine up until 40 min ago. Maintenance probably works as such: You are free to play the game on your server during the maint. However, if you in any way try to move from that server, say to an instance, then you're on your own. Players are fine as long as they don't move from their server in any way.

I myself got kicked when I tried to start the PLD lv 50 instanced fight.

I got disconnected. My guess is I'm not getting back in for 7 hours. :c...

It's because of the live maintenance happening right now.

Can confirm -- the problem mostly lies in the transition to/from instances. I completed an instance without issue a few minutes ago, but upon leaving... I was stuck in limbo for a while before DCing and not being able to reconnect.

Maintenance is maintenance, so it's whatever... however, I would have liked a little clarity regarding if the servers are down or not. I haven't been able to log back in. Perhaps it's an error in the localization translation. *shrug* Saturday night seems like an odd time to do maintenance, unless it is an emergency, so I can only hope/assume it's for a good reason.

I doubt it's an emergency unfortunately. It's been on the lodestone for days, so they seem to have planned it specifically for tonight.

What I find odd is how long the maintenance is. Is this prepping for a major patch or something? Because normally only major patches take this long. Also, why tell us we can log back in if we actually can't?...

I'm not mad about maintenance, just the way it was done.

Are Inns instanced? Because I left myself in bed in the Limsa Lominsa inn, and I can't get back in. 2002 error.

An hour later and still can't log in. You guys have terrible timing.
