New DPS Actions and Traits thread

Heavensward is just a few months away. New Actions and Traits will be available with the increased level cap. What new ability's do you want to see added in the expansion for DPS?

For bard I want new songs to buff my party.

• A song that buffs physical or magical defense by 10%
  
• A reverse to Foe Requiem which reduces Physical defense by 10%
  
• And perhaps an instant cast that allows bards to do full damage while their songs are up, for a limited time? maybe?

What do you guys want to see in the expansion for your favorite DPS?

For Dragoon I would like better raid utility.

For a BLM, I'd like... (not all, just ideas lol)

~ A SINGLE target spell that is as epic as Flare. (Destroy/Doomsday/Ardor)
~ Our own offensive cooldown (I'd like a ground AoE that reduces the targets resistence to a BLMs Fire abilities while they are on it)
~ An Off-GCD Offensive Spell or something we can weave. (Scathe 2?)
~ Upgrade to our Spells in general (Fire 1 = Fira 1; Fire 2 = Fira 2; Fire 3 = Fira 3)
~ An Off GCD similar to Presence of Mind (Spell Speed buff or a Critical Hit Rate buff) OR our own INT increasing cooldown (Focus: Increases users INT by 15% - 20 seconds)
~ Something to spice up our rotation lol
~ Double/Triple Cast (Stacking like Aetherflow I guess)
~ A reason to Umbral Phase outside of MP regeneration. (Dot? Scourge?)

Monk
Fist of Water- Absorb 1-2TP per melee hit (will add up fast)
Enhanced Greased Lightning IV- Just increase the time by 5-10 more seconds.

I'd like battlevoice to remove the mp cost and damage restriction on songs while it's active.

I'd like to have a dmg increasing buff, all we have now is Raging Strike which isn't even from our class :D

~ Stellar Thunder I/II/III (stacking buff like AF/UI) so there's a condition where we can cast thunder spells continuously like Fire I
~ Something like "Wall Stance" that will switch Manawall to prevents 2 physical hits or 2 magical hits and Manaward to reduce physical dmg or magical dmg
~ A super AoE which hits even harder than Flare, but has longer cast time and the AoE is around the character so it must be casted inside melee range
~ Reverse Aetherial Manipulation which pulls your party member toward you
~ Fire element ground AoE like Freeze which does DoT or reduce elemental resistance
~ Transpose II, change AF II/III to UI II or UI II/III to AF II

For dragoons, something like an OCD that inflicts damage, and decreases the targets pdef by 15% or so. If Dragoon ain't gonna be top dps, we need some Damn utility. Maybe something like wyrm slayer, decrease the targets resistance to all attacks? A dragoon can dream...

I would probably just stop playing the game if that ability existed. Imagine literally any tower raid? Or just people trolly enough to pop manawall/ward and pull you into kill mechanics.

I'd like to see it coupled with some better means of TP management/regen than what we currently have. (Maybe a buff that halves TP costs for skills for a duration?)

I would like to see ninja's get the mudra that's used in the level 50 fight that makes you split into like 5 clones.

I think it'd be kinda nice to use the untapped mana pool for the physical DPS jobs. Just throw on a gcd skill that costs all our MP (maybe scales with the amount of MP spent?), does a crap ton of damage/gives a huge self-buff/enemy-debuff, looks cool, and let us jam it into our rotations whenever we can--a sort of personal ultimate attack. Or just make it another inexpensive part of our rotation that allows for a break from TP usage.

Well, unless part of their plan for SS is to make it affect oGCD abilities, but I have no idea how hard that would be to balance.

dragoons go invulnerable when they jump…as it should be.

I was bored and tried to come up with expansion traits and abilities for all the jobs. I didn't manage to do all of them, but here are my dumb ideas about Monk.

TRAITS

52 - Slipstream
Howling Fist increases movement speed. Duration: 10s

56 - Enhanced Touch of Death
Increases Touch of Death's damage over time potency to 30.

60 - Flawless Balance
Extends Perfect Balance duration to 15 seconds.

CLASS ACTIONS

54 - Quicksilver
Ability Recast 90s
Delivers an attack with a potency of 150.
Can only be used when under the effect of Greased Lightning III.
Additional Effect: Grants Greased Lightning IV. Duration: 3s
Greased Lightning IV Bonus: Increases damage dealt by 9% and attack speed by 5%

To clarify on Greased Lightning IV, weaponskills that grant Greased Lightning would refresh its duration. Once Greased Lightning IV wears off, you would still have Greased Lightning III.
That is, you're meant to find a way to extend it as much as possible (namely with Perfect Balance), not to maintain it indefinitely. That said, I'm not sure if Fists of Lightning, Greased Lightning IV, and loads of skill speed would allow you to maintain it indefinitely or not.

58 - Controlled Breathing
Ability Recast 180s
Increases damage dealt by 10% and refreshes TP.
Duration: 20s

JOB ACTIONS

55 - Fists of Lightning
Ability Recast 3s
Increases attack speed by 5%.
Cannot be used with Fists of Earth, Fists of Wind, or Fists of Fire, and shares recast timer with all three.

60 - Explosive Palm
Weaponskill TP 40
Delivers an attack with a potency of 60.
When the effect ends, it delivers an additional attack with a potency of 200.
Can only be used when in raptor form.
Additional Effect: Damage over time. Potency: 15 Duration: 18s
Additional Effect: Changes form to coeurl.

I like the Fists of Lightning. I don't think Monk's need GL4. They just need something like Axe Kick to be used in dungeons. Insta gl3 with 60/90 sec cd.

It's for fireweaving. I don't want to toss a Lethargy/Virus on the boss just to attempt fireweaving. I'd like abilities that won't go to waste fireweaving.

Dragoon.

Lvl 52 Calamitous thrust. The dragoon makes a powerful thrust towards the enemy, tripping over its own lance and stabbing itself in the shin. Additional effect - The mob is incapacitated laughing it's ass off for 5 secs.

Lvl 54 Multi spike. The dragoon stumbles into the mob piercing it in several places with his spiky armour. - Additional effect - bind and bleed.

Lvl 56 rebound leap. The dragoon leaps away from the mob only to ping back on a bungee rope and strike the enemy at speed. - Additional effect stun to both mob and dragoon.

Think schs got that pretty much covered.

Monks something like fists of Lightning: full stacks of grese Lightning at all times. (You can't have it up at same time as fire so lose that %5 more attack buff to even it out. Also can only use fists of lightning for 30 seconds.
Gives reason to swich fists in battle.
Same with something like fists of Water: maybe something like recover %5 of HP with each attack. Something like blood bath.
I just like the idea of switching in battle so you don't have fists of fire 24/7 and change as battle goes.

Well they should be invulnerable to ground based moves only.

Super Jump - we all know that this coming

Dragon fire Dive - to actually be a fire move and effected by Foes

Bard
in the ARR opening scene the the bard did something to the WAR and it gave him some type of shield. We need this

Quick shot - High velocity shot always makes the hit crit. off the GDC about same timer as Blunt shot

Rework freeze please it is an ancient spell but it is so weak
