How would you make the Goblet more appealing?

I decided to finally upgrade to a medium house, and only the goblet housing was left. I found a plot that I fell in love with. It's view is off the side of a cliff is amazing. I enjoy the feeling of being all alone in my big house on top of a mountain! :3

However, the goblet fences are unappealing in my opinion. They're the least interesting/detailed fences out of all the housing and don't seem to match the houses themselves. They seem out of place, almost like they were done quickly.

And for some reason, the goblet feels more condensed than the other housing? That might be on purpose, not sure. None of the houses truly feel like they're standalone like in the lavender beds.

I'm interested to hear what people would change in the goblet to make it more appealing? If anyone has any opinions they're willing to share.

I find Goblet unpleasant because it's too sandy. In my opinion it should be more "lush oasis"-like, even closer to jungles, maybe.
So, more foliage.

Lavender Beds suffer from overly wide roads with shitty texture and ugly neon flowers.

The Mists area is too gray and kinda lifeless.

I think the condensed feel IS indeed on purpose.
Because as somebody who has a personal cottage in Goblet, and FC mansion in Lavender. I can definitely tell that all the amenities (MB,Bell) are further away in Lavender Beds and it is not for the difference in plot.

I personally like Goblet because of that, but I guess most people that engage in housing don't use the house for what I use it for (my house is unfurnished, I only go there to craft because there's merchants + having less lag reduces my chances of crafting macro gone awry)

I live in the goblet and while I love it, it needs more green. As an oasis in the desert, I would expect way more palms and ferns and other plants growing along the paths and giving shade. It would look so much better if there were more plants, more shade and actual NPCs running around the place.

I agree. If it looked more like an oasis I'd love it. But it needs a LOT more greens for that to happen...a lot more.

not only does it need more green (LOTS more and bump up dat saturation SE!) but also some aqua water... even on the brightest days the water is drab AF

It could do with more trees and flowering/shrubby plants around the center water area, imo.

Center oasis and the few houses overlooking windmill are the only interesting areas in Goblet. Both mist and lavender beds are both essentially on one big hill. The long slope gives more houses better views. Goblet however fans out from center and with multiple floor layers most houses have bad views or face other houses. At least need more vegetation or fountains spread around since paths are all brown and boring.

Lavender Beds? I don't think ANY house in Lavender Beds have a MB/Bell right in front of it. Especially my FC mansion (plot 28), it's quite the distance away and we're technically right in front of the MB (our next door neighbor is even further away from it)

Admittedly, I'm not the kind of person that stops to smell the roses, but for me Goblet is perfect! Think of it like a big city where everything is within walking distance as opposed to a mountain town where the view is nice, but you have to drive out 2 hours to go grocery shopping..

Granted the difference is not that big in the game, my cottage is still where I go for crafting since everything's so close together.

I think it suites the Goblet well in my opinion the Goblet is the "market place" for people who like to be near a MB/Bell. It gives the sense of a tighter commune (depending on taken plots) and is the place for crafters. While The Lavender Beds is more of a iconic home sweet home and the Mist is the Getaway summer home that you may want. But I do agree the Goblet should be just as appealing as the other two.

The middle area of the Goblet is actually very lovely IMHO, like an oasis. But only some of the houses are near this beauty, so there are too many houses with more stark surroundings that are just not that desirable.

I think some water additions (small ponds, waterfalls, etc), and lush potted or planted vegetation could go a long way to making the Goblet more pleasant. :)

TBH I thought with Uldah being the "rich" city. Or It always gave me the feel that the housing area would be similar to the look of 12.

I moved from my goblet house because the light change at night annoyed me and occasionally gave me headaches

I personally prefer the Goblet over the others. As far as the greenery goes, if the houses have a lot of trees on the property (which most do in my ward), then adding more trees along the walkway would make it too crowded I feel. If there is any change, I would suggest just changing some of the colors of the bricks. Nothing crazy, but just different shades.

Agree even different color bricks would go a long way. Color palette of Goblet is a common complaint and it can be fixed with some retexturing and few plant/water additions and perhaps awnings and tapestries like rev toll has now.

Lav beds prominent colors are green and brown, Mist is white and blue bit Goblet is brown and well brown. There really is just too much brown in the Goblet. Paths are brown, walls are brown, rocks are brown, canyon scenery is mostly brown, houses are brown and can only paint small portions. Alot of the color is either in central oasis or dependant on neighbor's decor. Most the natural trees and grass are not even in most lines of sight.

I agree with making it more "Oasis-like", and not just in the center of the map.

The goblet desperately needs more "lushness". This is supposed to be an oasis in the desert.

1)We need more water on the higher levels of the zone. Not just the center.
2) We need more green lushness. Tall palms and shade trees in the planters and not just short bushes and cactii.
3) We need more colorful house models. Every house is 90% (or more) the same drab sand stone brown color. The only thing we can do is accent it. The real reason the Mist and the Lavender Beds are more popular is that they both have a vastly superior color pallet.
4) We need better lighting. Even during a clear day, lots of areas in the Goblet are full of shade. When combined with the drab colorless surroundings it makes the zone feel depressing.

5) Give us actual access to the buildings/airship dock. The zone could have a clear advantage if things that are there were opened up for actual use.

6) More NPCs!

7) More holiday/seasonal decorations!

I was living for quit some time in the goblet before we moved (fc house) and when i saw this Picture i had to go back because i never remembered the small area in lower area of this Picture... well it is there but really Looks nothing like that (not only the small area but all of the goblet)
Sadly this is just an artwork and not the real housing area it would be perfect otherwise....
