What will be your crafting specialty?

In light of the recent news regarding Heavensward it seems as if we're only allowed to have atleast 1 specialty in regards to crafting.

Since we have to choose, what will yours be and why?

I'll choose LTW since the materials needed are abit harder to obtain (mob drops) and as such typically fetch for a higher price in the MB. Its also pretty versatile since LTW can make accessories on top of gear for DoW/DoM/DoL/DoH

That and I also like Geva

Assuming that this is how the system will be working, of course...

I would pick Weaver. Sadly, this would probably be a common choice.

My cook! Everyone needs food for raids and already have my ilevel 90 for my cook.

Done with crafting to be honest, it's not fun anymore, it's just one more grind in a game that has more than enough.

Do we have any confirmation that the crafting specialties will be tied to class and not to task? We could be looking at specialties being things like:

• Desynthesis
• Large Object Crafting (Airships and housing)
• Equipment
• Detailing (Small objects and Minions)

I think we're jumping the gun a little here... Whilst I agree that this system is likely to force some kind of specialisation to stimulate the market in some way I doubt they'll restrict us to only one craft.

If we did have to pick only one it'd be between Weaver, Goldsmith and Alchemist but I'm hoping I'd be able to work on all three to some extent.

Square Enix will not do same mistake twice, you see what happened with desynthesis and how the playerbase disliked it? Or will they? :)

I'm really enjoying the crafting side of the game so far!

I've only been playing about a week and am a level 20 Gladiator with side jobs fishing, armory, culinary, and botanist.. lol

Think I will specialize as an armorer though.

Specialization could mean crafting Jobs, where each one gets some extra special abilities but can only cross-class from two other classes.

I'll probably wait and see what other people do before choosing whichever of them is least represented on my server.
