But when I do, I pray to every god imaginable that its not Toto-Rak
I don't always do PvP. But when I do, I pray the Great Jesus there is no pre-made stacked BLM/SMN's on one of the GC's. :(
HAVE WE NAUL'T SUFFERED ENOUGH!
Have an Aurum Vale then!
I never do unless leveling.
Does Toto-Rak just bore you to death or somesuch?
For me... it's Haukke Manor. I don't go into LLR some days, because of the chance it'll be Haukke...
(I was severely traumatized as a young Tank, my first time in the Manor. It's left me scarred for life...)
:)
The Thousand Nopes of Toto-Nope.
me toto sucks but cutters cry and aurum vale are way worse ,
It's been awhile since I have done low level roulette, I would probably agree with Toto-rak being one of the worst, but right up there with it I would have to put Tam tara, which I would get constantly. Maybe that has something to do with why I haven't done low level for some time.
Yep, Toto-rak is my absolute least favourite as well. And yet low roulette seems to be 90% Toto-rak...hmm.
Did low level for about a month (30 days) once to run an experiment because I was convinced all I ever got was Tam Tara, and got it 17 times and Toto-Rak 9. RNG is RNG but yeah, RNG hates me...but I got tank Soldiery-geared I guess. :p A random Dzemael totally blew my mind though. I actually don't do Low Level anymore because the soldiery bonus isn't an incentive when it bleeds from all the other stuff I do...
Toto, Haukke, and emo-land (cutters cry) are much better than DD and AV. DD takes forever. AV you are looking at wipes unless all 4 people aren't stupid.
First room of AV going into the boss, I run through the middle and avoid aggro for the plants on the left and right, 90% of the time a party member runs left to avoid poison and gets aggro, and a different party member runs right to avoid poison and gets aggro. And that ends in a much better result than the first boss most of the time.
All I get are dungeons level 24 and under. Anything higher is a welcome surprise(That includes Aurum Vale).
The content you do is limited by the lowest level member in the party. When someone who haven't unlocked Halatari queues, you're looking at the three entry dungeons until level 24, then Toto-rak, Haukke, all the way to level 32.
I do hope they add a full set of extra dungeons in leveling content, i.e. at levels 22, 26, 30, 34, 37, 47. This will provide a lot more variety in the low levels. But that's wishful thinking...
You can almost sac pull the entirety of AV though, provided the rest of your party doesn't mind. For DD, you can ignore all the trash after the first boss up to the second by sac pulling.
Still hate AV though. That one level sync makes a world of a difference... :(
Contrary to popular belief, roulettes are not random unless you queue with a full premade. It just dumps you where there's people looking for a party. Pre-50 I always got Tam-Tam or Toto Shit out of the roulette, since I guess that's where a lot of ppl queue and have a hard time finding a party. At 50 it's also often Dzemael and AV. On trials it's mostly Garu, and expert roulette dumps me more AK than anything else.
Itwould be fun if the roulette was actually random, but we're basically place fillers for other people queing the instances when we tick that roulette option, so it can't be helped. :P
What's worse is when you get tororak in low level roulette and get grouped with three newbies who know nothing of their respective classes.
God forbid you're not scholar.
lol Sunken Temple of Qarn anybody?
stone vigil is my least favorite. AV as well (never get it tho xD)
The Thousand Snores of Toto-Rak
When I was leveling my paladin, it was my daily totorak. I get tam Tara more on scholar - at least that one is short/really hard to mess up. Scholar could probably solo the boss..
Que?

I hate Toto-Rak too. Yesterday I ran a low level roulette and got in a party with a Paladin that wanted to explore EVERY single room and EVERY single turn. It felt like DAYS had passed when we finally got to the last boss.
I'm never doing it again on White Mage. Ever.
Neither tank has an valid excuse for not stunning Final Sting except with WAR on the boss, where the two DPS must share the responsibility for actually leaving the bees alive for so long.
But the worst in Qarn isn't tanks who don't stun Final Sting. The worst is a Lv 50 tank with shiny relic and full set of poetic gear who pulls two or even three packs with a Monk and a Lancer in the party...some people are so used to the brainless mass pulls that they have forgotten their leveling days.
For me I hate Tam Tara, such a frikkin boring dungeon.
Don't mind the hard version so much though.
I never had an issue with Toto-Rak, that is until I did it as a healer. And I was new to healing, leveling my white mage. But it was only because the tank we had did not use Flash and mobs going every which way. He also wouldn't reply to chat. After finishing the dungeon, someone later told me it was probably a bot tank. Luckily no one died on my watch, but it was the biggest workout I've ever had, and the 2nd boss was hectic and frantic. Most fun I had in a while. Outside of that Toto-Rak has always been my favorite low level dungeon. Aurum Vale is the dungeon I hate the most. It's not bad if you get a group that knows what they're doing. Otherwise it's a nightmare.
I did Qarn, in progress, last night with a gld tank, hadn't even leveled mrd yet. What a pain. No wonder the DPS left. Took forever to get it done but we managed.
And on a related note, I may be the only one who doesn't really mind AV that much, lol.
I like AV *mumbles*
I always get satasha and I hate it especially if the tank is new. Goes to every single area on the MAP
I Q for low DFs everyday. My least favorite is DD (speed kills) My favs are Av and Cutters Cry, both are somewhat easy to heal on Scholar (IMO). Specail note: I HATE TO HEAL, Greyfox's Drag Strip and WP ( The Places where non speed runners go to wipe). I'll take Tam-Tam any day.
