How many times did it take for you to get a card drop?

I'm curious to know how many times people have done certain activities just to get a TT card drop? Post your sad stories here.

I think I'm 0/200+ on Terra Branford card now. Took me about 300 wins against Hab for the Hildibrand & Nashu card and another about 300 wins for the Gaius card.

Edit: Holy wow.. after doing the ultros fight nonstop for 12 hours, I finally managed to get the Terra Branford card. Both of the cards dropped at the same time. Run number 272.

Third game in Golden Saucer I got a Shiva card....haven't gotten any since but not putting much effort into it.

I'm only collecting cards from dungeons/trials since I'm not serious about TT. But so far I've gotten the dungeon cards either on the 1st try up to the 3rd.

I've only gotten Terra after less than 10 tries.

To keep things fresh I only select 5 trials instead of spamming the same trial over and over again

I haven't really gotten around to smacking the NPCs yet, but enough Garuda HM runs to finish a Zeta netted me 4 Garuda cards.

1: garuda ex (garuda), world of darkness(onion knight) cutters cry (chimera), lala fell from costa (minfilia)

Otherwise...idk.dont care enough to count after 1 or two. They come when they come

It took me approximatelyn 15 attempts to get the Terra card from Dragon's Neck, 6-7 attempts to get the Bartz card from Battle in the Big Keep, 20-ish attempts to get the Good King Moggle Mog XII card from Thornmarch HM, and I've attempted Shiva about 20 times without seeing a single card drop.

My luck with cards is very weird. I got Gaius on the fifth hand of TT with the Indolent Imperial (which is considered impossibly fast), it took me a good few hours of playing King Elmer to get the Bahamut card, and with the exception of Kan-E-Senna, who still eludes me, I actually managed to get all of the GC Leader cards within 15 minutes of trying for them, oftentimes before the Primal/Scion cards dropped! But at the same time, it took me ages to get Urianger and Minfilia from playing NPCs, I've attempted to acquire Kan-E-Senna and Odin in a rotation, yet have not acquired either despite hours of grinding, and I've bought about 15-20 Gold Packs, only to fail to acquire Zidane or WoL.

I don't know. Some were instant (Sahagin from Sastasha), others took some time (Titan).

Honestly, I spam content just because I like to. Most times, I wouldn't even know I got a card until after a dungeon and I go to vendor all the spoils I collected. I had did Amdapor Kill hours before I spammed Primals. Go to sell items to vendor, and I had a Demon Card.

Currently over 50 WoDs and still no Onion Knight.

2225+ Imperial wins with no Gaius. 23 Prae runs with no Gaius. I have just about every other five star obtainable (sans tournament, cloud and miu). Thems the rng breaks.

I got all the card drops from trials and dungeons and none of them were really that bad or anything. Way higher drop rate then say zodiac dungeons for sure.

Or you just got lucky. I've known people to do 200+ ultros or 2nd gilgamesh fight and have yet to see the cards. You can't say it's not that bad based solely on your experience.

Did the ultros everyone but one guy had both cards after 7 fights. Did 2nd gilgamesh fight everyone but 1 person had the card after 4th fight. This tells me that it is pretty high.

No one. You can only obtain shiva from shiva hard or extreme.

Are you talking about the Ultros card or the Terra card? They both drop from the Ultros fight. If the Terra card you have the luckiest group of people in the entire world. I've seen 20+ people go 50+ fights without getting it. If you're talking about the ultros card that's extremely common.

Both cards Terra and Ultros. The one guy who didn't get it said he had to stay up till 3am to get it which was 10 more hours then the rest of us

None. Zilch. Zero.

I refuse to grind/farm anything solely for the cards; I do whatever I have/want to do or feel like doing, and if something drops, it drops. I'm not gonna have my brain turn into mush like it happened with atma back then. @_@ I don't even much care for TT in general, actually, which is weird because I've always loved the game itself.

Had an FC buddy get Terra and Ultros on his first visit to Dragon's Neck. Bonus round? Bartz's card also dropped on his first Battle in the Big Keep.

But that's because RNG gonna RNG. I've cleared quite a number of primals since patch but only have a Garuda card to show for it. Oh well.

Other than Bahamut and Cid, I haven't really had to do more than 30 matches against anyone to get their card, although I haven't really taken on many of the high-level people. I got Minfilia before Y'shtola, a second Godbert before I realized I already had one, and I'm always surprised to find duplicate cards in my inventory after running a dungeon. Even for Bahamut, I was just showing off the Triple Triad games to my friend to try and lure him back to the game, and the very next match after he walked away I got Bahamut. Mostly, I just play matches while queued and almost always get the cards within one or two queues.

Now gold packs. Those are a pain. Always Momodi and Baderon. So many Momodi and Baderon. Why u no good to me gold packs!? T^T

I got lucky on Onion Knight and got it on the first WoD run after the update. I didn't even know cards dropped from duties at that point until I figured out where it actually came from.

That being said, my other ventures have been a bit more difficult, but not as bad as some I've heard:

All in all, I guess I've been pretty lucky. Still scored like crap in the tournament though.

For Triad battles, it's been pretty random. I've gotten most of the cards I actually want in varying degrees, but Vorsaile simply refuses to give me Kan-E-Senna; I'm pretty sure I've played him about 100 or so times, and I beat him regularly now since I can use a primal ascension deck.

40 Garuda runs tells me thats incorrect. Someone getting Zodiak before seeing a card drop as well. Those are but 2 examples of many. The droprate can be quite bad.

I've not got any so far on the first try. Most of the fights with npc's require 20-30 wins and I'm on run 15 of Brayflox and still nothing.

Yeah, it seems like some are high while others are really low. I actually gave up on getting Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan on Duties and got them from card matches instead. It's the same reason I don't yet have a Shiva card. I've done about 10 or so runs with no drop and only saw 1 drop for someone else. I don't want her bad enough to keep spamming runs right now, but I guess I will at some point.

I battled Imperial for Gaius, took me more than 300 battles, I just didn't count it. All i know is that I definitely got around 40k MGP by the end of it all.

Moogle Mog took only about 7 runs.

Garuda took me fighting Marcette about 50 times, not including about 11 HM runs I did.

Those are far and away my most painful experiences so far, but I'm missing a lot of dungeon cards still... i just don't like grinding them all at once, really burns me out.

Hoped to spend more time on FFXIV cardgame, but lately i find myself again playing on other resources...

I forgot how many wins I had to do to win my Gaius card. I think it had to be maybe..about 2 to 3 hours.
But Hidibrand.. THAT card took me 3 days to get. And Hab's stupid rule didn't make that fight any better.
I was so relived when it dropped for me.

Much run happens only for Garuda Card >_> also the NPC who drops Thancred Card... about 50x win he still won't give me that card.
But Shiva, Titan, Gilgamesh and Enkidu, drops in 1 run lol (some other card from dungeon drops in 1 run too).
