What info do hope to see/hear from the PAX east announcements?

I would like to hear what they are going to add with 3.0 (I'm sure we haven't been told everything) as well as a release date with the pre-order date for the physical and digital collectors edition, I'd like to hear news of new housing wards/areas coming with a possible patch ver. (example 3.1, 3.2 ect.) what are you looking forward to?

if I had to make a guess, I'd say around $79-$99 and thats based on the price for type 0 CE.

If it's not going to be more of the same.

- New benchmark with Au Ra, so we can tinker with it.
- More info about the new zones and the characters who live in it.
- More info about the main storyline.
- More videos showing the new jobs in actions.
- The FC airship.

These are the things that I want to know.

I mean red mage is a classic job from the series its time to introduce them :D

In addition to that I see them giving us more information about the other new jobs, and the release date of the expansion.

Some gameplay footage of the new jobs would be nice.
Some Au Ra action ith different classes (please dont just copy Elezen animations).
Some flyby of Au Ra main city.
Prerequisites for new classes, if any.
Id love to see some flight in action.
Some details on the airships.
Overview of some of the maps (hoping theyre more open world this time since theyre made with flight in mind).
Some details on story.
Release date? Pricing?
Any new features or changes we may not have heard of yet (better housing!?!!? talent system!?!?! :mad:)

For a game being released in a few months we really havent seen/heard much about it.... hoping that changes this weekend.

Really I just want some concrete details on how the new jobs actually play, especially at the raid level. Mechanics, and so on.

What I hope to see?

Summoners can once again summon Carbuncles.

Ya, I know, the probability of a stray winning lottery ticket flying into my pocket is higher.

Since this isn't a FFXIV only event I am guessing they will probably have a lot of repeat recap info to make the general public aware of the game, then maybe 5-10 min of new stuff.

some gameplay with the new classes , new race and maybe a show of unknow zone , add some flying mount and win!

really introducing flying mounts are going to make WoW players soooooo mad :D , blizz removes flying while competition introduce it :D , kinda funny ^^

It's a feature that sounds really cool, but can be difficult to actually do well. Here's to hoping it works out better in FFXIV!

in FFXIV we have teleports everywhere, so its going to be used for convenience more than traveling ,the expansion is all about dragons sooo makes sense we get to flight too!

now we need to be able to fight while flying :D !

after playing DBZ xenoverse for a while , being stuck on the ground doesnt feel right :P

reveal of more side content, that isn't associated with endgame grinding.

I'd like to see a sneak peek of some of the new skills for older classes (particularly Summoner); maybe alongside their new AF gear.

I'd like an exhibition of some skills the new classes have. Similar what they did when they showcased ninja. And a release date would be amazing.

I really hope he touches more on the state of zodiac weapons moving forward. For example, whether there will be new weapons entirely and if there are, how current zodiacs will benefit those weapons. All he's really said is that there will be new weapon upgrades in 3.1 and that zodiac weapon owners will not be forgotten.

Zodiacs now really don't resemble their original relics much at all. Whatever they become probably won't even look like zodiacs. I can see having finished a zodiac skips you ahead a couple steps in the new weapon but having to make 2 seperate quest lines is probably something SE won't do. They most likely will have 1 new weapon questline with the possibility of zodiac users getting skipped ahead a couple steps in the new weapon line.

I hope to see more about the new race, and astro gameplay!

Little details like;
- what's happening with Summoner in the Patch? More egis? FC Summoning?
- Armory system changes
- new mid tier content (Crystal Tower Replacement in 3.0)
- How do we obtain/unlock the new Jobs?
- will storyline need to be completed to a certain point to be able to access Heavensward?
- Relic Weapon going from 2.X to 3.X
- iLevel continuing to go up?
- Endgame content lock out systems, any changes?
- More housing for more populated servers?

Basically I'm hoping to hear more of the little details going forward since I think they are finished revealing all the big stuff (Unless there is another Job or two still coming?) It's this weekend, I'm going to be scouring the net for any details I can find since I'm stuck way up in Canada and cant get to PAX East.

As most have covered already, my only real interest is how they're going to handle the 10-level jump with Ilvl and the already available gear. Don't really want to see level 51 gear outstrip the current end-game gear, should at least last for a while.

Heavensward character creator benchmark ^^ I want to make my au ra! Also, I want to purchase my copy of Heavensward so I hope I'll be able to do that too soon.

Wouldn't mind a new benchmark in general, used to love the FF11 benchmarks when they released new expansions.

1 of 2 things they can do, one is stat squish and revert all current gear to ilvl 50 or have new gear start from ilvl 140+, nothing to say just because a piece of gear is lvl 51 it has to be ilvl 51.

It shouldn't matter how long old gear last, considering with any major patch addition old gear is replaced within a few weeks anyway. (Aren't we used to this already ?)

There was a lot of things brought up in this thread that I agree with and would like to see as well, as well as something else I'd like to add that I'd like to see more info about, hiring of GC NPC's to join you in dungeons, it seems like they said you can lvl them up, it's been a while haven't heard anything else about it, I wished we could hire our retainers to join in dungeons.

BTW I'll update the OP to add the times for the PAX east stream info.

More on how much will Alexander Normal and Hard mode differ.

An ilvl "compression" a couple of you mentioned would be really lame imo.

We're going to gain 10 whole levels, I want to feel that difference. We're gonna get stronger gear, I want to feel and see that.
It would be really boring if we reach level 60 only to see the same exact numbers we had at 50.

-A glimpse of the new AF2 especially WHM, i mean we seen the lolDRG one in the trailer after all.
-And a showcase of some of the post 50 abilities we'll unlock for each already existing jobs.
-New Relic, or at least a concrete answer on how exactly it'll work for those who completed all 2.X stages.

Ok. DRK, AST, MCN and Au'ras will probably be the main subject because its from HW.
Its good and all, but as i said above i care more about the future of the existing jobs than new ones, and apart from couple comments here and there, we didnt get any concrete infos ( i mean video / photos or detailed news ) about them.

Knowing how they're going the route of "new update? current stuff is trash now", chances are, anything 51+ will make our current gear obsolete.

Which seeing as how some other mmos eventually "run out of space for new zones/gear design" and start just reskinning everything, I can see that happening a lot sooner than it should with as fast as they outdate everything, dungeons included.

For me, it would be:

• Official Release date
• Details about Preordering the Collectors Edition
• Details about the new Benchmark (with DirectX11 support)
• Gameplay footage of the new Jobs (especially the Astrologian, since i really want to see how the job skills work)
• Changes to the core features like the Armory System (especially since they’ve announced that the 3 new Jobs don’t require a base class), the Dungeon/Raid Loot system (since they’ve mentioned that they were introducing a new system for Alexander, i think) as well as the Duty Finder itself (they’ve mentioned something about adding “NPC’s” for content like dungeons).
• We haven’t seen artwork of the AF2 for the Paladin, White Mage, Scholar, Black Mage and the Ninja yet… But i would really like to see the in-game version of the AF2 for all classes. (^_^ )
• I also want to see the longer version of the Heavensward intro, but on the other hand… We haven’t seen the ending of A Realm Reborn yet. hehe.
• Footage of the new Alexander Raid
• Details on the new 24-man Raid
• Details on the Personal/FC Airships (i can’t wait to make an Airship with my friends!)
• Concept art/in-game screens for area’s, items, housing, gear, weapons, hairstyles, etc.

Less then 24 hours till we may get info on some of the things y'all want to know! Who is excited? My Wife and are for sure!

I'm hoping for the removal of base classes... fingers crossed
