No more nuggets

There is going to be a large mass of useless items come the obsolescence of nuggets.

All Nuggets
Silver Sand
Gold Sand
Iron Sand
Grenade Ash
Limonite
Yellow Copper Ore
Wolf Collar
Drake Collar
Zinc Ore

I know they're making electrum ore... Which seems fine, Electrum is a naturally occuring thing. But what about steel or brass? Steel ore? Brass ore? Lol..........

Either way, I hope that if all these items become obsolete and intend to remain obsolete, then mobs should stop dropping them and gathering should stop finding them. It was a nice thing about this game that it had no vendor trash. (Aside from beastcoins. Whats up with that?)

Umm does that mean silver ore is worthless now?

Well, the old recipes will still be around for a little longer even when 1.19 is released. I suppose you ought to use them up or sell them.

EDIT: On second thought, I don't think the ores and sands themselves will become useless. Maybe we'll be skipping the nugget making phase.

It means during the next few weeks before patch is going to be a great time to use nuggets to grind. People will be selling them dirt cheap. I have already seen iron nugget prices drop from the usual 1k range to 300 gil. And silver nuggets have dropped quite a bit already but im going to wait a bit longer to see how low they go so I can get my BSM as high as possible before materia is implemented. If you are in range to grind with a certain nugget i suggest taking advantage of everyone getting rid of them. (and ya, what is up with beastman coins?)

Why should they stop dropping them if you can sell it to a vendor?

This also assumes a recipe choice won't be given of ingots and nuggets for 4x Ores

you are giving us alot of false info on some of those items

nuggets = gone
sand = turned into ingots now just like ore
grenade/bomb ash= still makes steel!
limonite= still makes iron ingot
yellow copper= still makes copper with a chance of brimestone(wasnt a part so probly not removed)
collars= maybe they will be changed to make something else(if they make nuggets now probly an ingot after)
zinc= still makes brass!
gold= makes gold!


there are no zinc nuggets as of now so thats probly staying as brass

however! there is gold nuggets....maybe gold will actualy be used in the update

Not trying to derail but I swear this said no more muppets when I clicked on it.

You will still be able to make ingots with the nuggets for the next few months, no need to panic if you have lots of nuggets. Actually on second thought go ahead and panic, flood the market with very very cheap nuggets.

still doesnt change the fact that most items arent going to be useless
what made nuggets before will make ingots after the change
