Adopt Wow's rng system.
Enough said.
Your name alone caused you to lose all credibility. lol
I have never played WoW, so what is this RNG system supposed to be like?
Mentioning WoW on here will get you no friends.
Although I agree an intelligent rng system would be better than the crap we have right now.
As far as I'm aware the RNG system in WoW increases your chance every time you don't get something, eventually increasing the odds to your favour.
Oh I see. But I think the way it works in PSO2 is alright too though. Like you have a bar to fill up, your item could drop while the bar is progressing. When the bar filled up, you automatically get the drop.
Right now the RNG is completely equal, everyone has the equal chance of getting shafted.
Unfortunately adding in better chances would require them to redesign key parts of their software. Its not an easy fix you are asking for.
A couple of the ideas actually seem interesting but I don't see it happening (at least in the immediate future) Sure the actual changes to the code are very easy to do, but (most likely) it has has to interact with other pieces of the code which can cause unforeseen affects to happen and it would need to be thoroughly tested before being pushed to the live servers.
No doubt, but if other MMOs have changed their code in similar ways then this game can too, right ?
It's one of those quality of life things that I'm sure most people would appreciate, nobody is asking for it right now, just something they can work on until its ready.
Its like the beta version of ARR's. In other words the RNG is pretty much just as terrible.
It does not actually work like that. It was claimed to work like with WoW's bonus rolls (you use a token after a boss dies to get a chance on extra loot), but in practice it appeared to have zero effect.
Something like this thread would probably be more useful to suggest under the already open quality of life thread ;P Not disagreeing at all which is why I commented not seeing changes int he immediate future. I can have hope they think of something later on though :D
