When choosing Cactpot winning numbers, you are asked to start by choosing the number from the left first then working your way to the right of the menu.
I chose the numbers 8591, the winning number was 5491. I matched the last 2 numbers didnt I? I got the consolidation prize. This tells me that to match the winning numbers 5491, the player had to choose the numbers in this order 1954.
I'm so confused! Left to right reading standard when the player chooses numbers. Right to left reading standard when the RNG calls the winning number.

Still I would feel kind of cheated, if say I choose 2314, and the winning numbers were called out as 2,3,1,4 which resulted in the winning number being 4132. >.>
To avoid this kind of negative perception I think it would be better to just announce all 4 digits at the same time. -

thats what im saying. or maybe have us pick numbers starting from the right? I feel so cheated even though theres no sound strategy in picking numbers.
Just when you see whats posted as winning numbers and read "last X numbers matching" you would put 1 and 1 together and say omg i picked 1234 and the winning number is 1234, WHAT!? its actually 4321? -

I don't remember the winning number on my server, but ended with a 0. So did my ticket. It was ***0. It said I matched the last number and I won the prize for it.

You pick the numbers in the same order that they appear in the drawing, and then the winning numbers match from right to left. My server's winner was 1-7-4-something (I don't remember the 4th digit offhand, but it wasn't 3). I picked (in order) 1-5-9-3, and got no match. If you picked 8-5-9-1 in that order, you should've matched 2 numbers at the end.
In Canada, the bonus pick on Lotto Max tickets are also matched from right to left, so it's not just a JP thing. -

I hated the cacpot lotto. I matched the 2 middle numbers in the right spot and got squat. I just wish it was match any numbers, not just in reverse final numbers.

winner number : 1490
if your number is
XXX0 = u got the lat digit and win
XX90 = u got 2 digits and win more
X490 = more
1490 = winner!
now if u have 3251 u win nothing obviusly.
1491 = nothing since even tho u have the first 3 that doesnt count at all .
ticket numbers start from 0000 to 9999 that doesnt mean we read from right to left, that means , the rewards are from the lowest to the highest

I don't know why yours didn't work. I picked 7440, and the winning number was something like 3320 (I know it ended in zero). I got around 1200 MGP for having one matching number.
I don't remember the order in which I picked the numbers, though I think I did it left to right. I really doubt it matters. I do know that my number read '7440' on my screen when I was done, which is exactly what I intended. -

Whether the numbers are picked left to right or right to left really makes no difference. RNG is RNG. You have the exact same odds of winning regardless of draw order.
