Been grinding out TT to both get Squall and reach 60 cards I've made decent progress. I have 1 more NPC in the 25 cost range that I just can't seem to beat though. Landenel, with his horrible random rule. He has nothing but high cards, with me getting stuck with crappy 1 stars all the time. The Fallen Ace Rule seems moot since it's never useful. Anyone with any ideas or suggestions on how to deal with this guy? His rules are horrible and put me at an unwinnable disadvantage.

Fun fact, his Fallen Ace rule plays AGAINST you, not for you, as he has no card with an A (at least I haven't seen any in my 50 matches before I win) but a few 1s. It's just a rule to ensure you can't bruteforce through him with good RNG on your hand. -

Landenel took FOREVER for me to beat. His random rule is the pits since his entire hand consists of rare cards, and none of them have an A rank so it's impossible to use Fallen Ace on them. Eventually I got lucky, but he's definitely my least favourite opponent.

It normally shouldn't be a problem that opponents have entirely high level decks, as superior strategy should always be emphasized. But the random and to a smaller extent the chaos rule is completely in the pits and throws all strategy out the window. It turns the match into a brute force fight and you can never out-brute force an opponent who can field all high level cards. Those rules should be abolished, beat them once by sheer luck and avoid having to farm them as much as possible.

Ya there are 32 TT NPCs now and we can expect more to arrive in the future due to the constant supply of new TT cards so the 30 NPC win will get easier to obtain later.

I had some luck with momodi.
I still don't have ANY cards besides the crappy 5 ones you get from the tutorial, and she has the Reverse rule.
It has played well to my advantage so far. -

What annoys me about random or chaos is that it feels like the rules aren't effecting the NPCs, when your deck is full of 1 stars this is a little one sided.

The random rule is designed to be unfair. You can pretty much steam roll any other opponent because programmed NPCs are dumb.
This is how video games have been designed for a long time. NPCs need to cheat in order to offer up any kind of real challenge. -

Players get a possibility to win with a set of 2*s and a 4-5*, but when you constantly get 1*s and a 3*, you aren't going to be doing anything. I think "Chaos" and "Order" killed the fun of TT. these rules limited strategies we can use, and isn't fair for players with weaker cards.
the old rules like Same & Plus make weaker cards have a chance to beat stronger cards and that's a good thing. -

The only way to beat NPCs with the random rule and such decks is to find wanky areas in their patterns, and bug them to make ''stupid'' moves. Yes technically its impossible, but that is only because of the bugs in the ai programming (assuming its not an intentional weakness, as ive won games where the NPC had last move and didnt use it to win)
Random is together with chaos, the hardest rule to fight against. With random you cannot even build a deck for it.
-It is incorrect that random does not apply to NPCs. However NPCs have 2 fixed cards that are always part of their active deck, and only a small total amount of cards that can be chosen for their deck. The first fixed card is typically their strongest card in their entire deck. -
