I think I have less than 400 crit on SCH.
That said, I main WHM and just put whatever gear I had on my WHM on SCH.
For a while I had more crit on my WHM than my SCH XD
Maining WHM too obviously.
Hey, don't worry too much. 570 is just 35 points above the cap, and it'll make it easier for you to sidegrade into BiS later on. Things might be silly if you had over 600 though :)
Yeah but that's 35 wasted stat :(
Actually, since I'm not in fcob yet, (or scob for that matter, rip) it's more than just 35
I've been playing since ps4 launch I came directly from WoW where you could change half of a stat to something else on your gear, it was called reforging.
For example. Say you have 50 accuracy on your chest piece, you could reforge the accuracy into something else but only half of it.
So you could turn 50 accuracy into 25 acc+25crit.
I raided and PvP'd hardcore and had my stats at an exact point of where they needed to be.
Exactly at accuracy cap, exactly at my haste breakpoint, rest mastery/crit
So playing this where I have tons of wasted stats and hand me down CT gear (I call CT the equivalent of LFR) makes me sad
Hopefully I can manage to get a static so I can start getting good gear and not have this accuracy be wasted.
My SMN had 626 accuracy once. (I main BLM)
gotta make extra sure youre punching the correct butt, right down to the hair on the cheek
reforge pointless anyway because new raids would just be balanced based on the assumption people reforged.
It's only the illusion of increased effectiveness.
Am I the only on who noticed the op is only using poetics gear?
You're not supposed to use just one set for optimization, you mix and match both sets of 130 gear. No optimization for anyone unless they've done at least some FCoB (job dependant for how far you need to go in FCoB fit your best gear)
Again, don't worry too much. Secondary Stats are nearly meaningless in this game. They only even think about surpassing Main Stats if you put absurd amounts of them on meldable gear. Those 35 points of secondaries amount to a mere 7-8 Strength.
Note: To preempt the "but 35 Determination is 12 Strength!" argument, it's necessary to note that you can't compare 35 Accuracy to 35 Determination. Determination is weighted higher than accuracy on gear, so you're actually comparing 35 Accuracy to 24-25 Determination.
How is that even possible?
Does none of your gear have crit on it at all? I think the base crit is 340 something lol.
It really bothers me when people say this.
Crit is a very important stat because there are classes that just outright suck without it, and determination is 0.325 of a main stat which adds up a LOT.
The only stat that is meaningless is skill speed.
What does that really mean though?
At worst they'd put a little more health on bosses. I'd rather be able to reforge all spell speed off summoner lol.
It bothers you because it is true. I would assume that the jobs you're thinking of when you mention Crit are Bard and Scholar.
Regarding Scholar:
Healers are terrible examples for this argument because the secondaries are actually meaningless for them. Although, a better word might be unnecessary. A healer can heal a fight just fine if they:
- Do not crit a single time
- Take 2.00 seconds to cast every healing spell
- Heal for 50 less HP per cast than stacking Determination provides
Regarding Bard:
Critical Hits are definitely useful to them. This is why they have Straight Shot and Internal Release. They crit enough even if you don't stack the stat.
Regarding Determination:
Determination is weighted higher on gear distribution than Crit or Skill Speed is. On average, you'll find approximately 30% less Determination on piece of gear than an equivalent amount of Crit or Speed. When comparing the stats, you should compare 44 of a stat to 31 Determination, or 31 of a stat to 22 Determination. If you do this, you'll find that Determination is almost equal to Crit in many cases. It's often the best stat to stack anyway, but it's not nearly as good as people think it is.
Well no wonder then. There's not a lot of room to optimize if you only have access to tomestone/ct gear.
EDIT: That said,

5 acc above flank cap for T13.
Better get hunting. :p
Well I actually cleared t5 a bit ago and I'm now working on scob so that's good at least
People say they are useless because it doesn't truly matter what 130 gear you get as long as you aren't way over the acc cap. All the gear has the exact same stat values per piece of gear and the only difference is the ~.01 dps per point between the stats. You can stack whatever stat you want and still perform fairly similarly to any other of the same job at the same ilvl and player skill.
I have over 550 acc on my bard is that bad
