Annoying skills in GS(GM please help?)

So trying to play tt against the king and there was a drg doing that annoying jumping skill with the noise every 2 seconds. And blisting doesn't block that stuff it seems.

Can we disable skills in GS? Would be very thankful.

Yes please. There are apperanlty some people who would "cheat" by spamming abilities like Holy or anything that can obscure vision

You have the option of turning off battle animations.

You can also turn off your ability to hear other people in a number of ways.

Turn off all others battle animations, fixed

Why should I have to turn them off Jay to turn them back on later. It's an inconvenience to me. Where as all the other players, drg/whm/whoever casting randomcspells/skills are just being an annoyance to everyone around them for no good reason. I'm not disagreeing with you I'm just saying for now until they add an update (if they ever do) just turn off the battle effects if it bothers you.

I turned mine off long ago, I have no reason in or out of battle to Hear it. If you don't want it off for whatever reason then no reason to come here and QQ about it, SE put the options there so you can easily stop it if it annoys you, same for all of us.

Unfortunately, players have been doing that since the beginning - they used to do it in the three cities (Ul'dah especially), and it wasn't just DRGs either (although they were probably the worst offenders). As others have said, you can disable battle animations/sound FX made by other players but it's the principle of the matter. You shouldn't have to do that simply because other players like being obnoxious and spamming abilities in the middle of a crowded city.

It's like doing a burn out in a carpark in the middle of the day - simply to show off and be a tool, while annoying everyone else around them. I agree that SE needs to lock the use of these abilities outside of a battle, as there is absolutely zero need to use them, other than to deliberately annoy other people. *equips flame shield*

Considering SE's response to peoples concerns about /random spam (I can't find the post but it basically says, "We've given you to tools to hide it so it's in your hands to do so.") I suspect that they feel the same way about skill spamming. The tools are already there for you to take care of it yourself. It's not SE's job to handle it beyond that.

I just wish there was a barricade stopping people from standing in/really close to the NPCs. For the imp disguise one it is pretty impossible to get a good look at the NPC to complete the GATE.

People have the option of not being annoying. Hmmm, everyone turn of battle animations, or one guy just stop acting childish? I wonder which we should do?!

Enabling people to be a problem is worse than the people being a problem.

I dont want this kind of behaviour too and i do same as ppls here tell you what to do, got switch off all skill animation on all players except party memebrs and it works great, not only because of GS but on raid or hunts cause with all that skill animation is a big mess.
Again i do same as ppls here teels you and i'm happy, and in my point of view all are happy, me to have peace and those who whant to haras,but you are not happy cause it is "inconvenience to you" lol, are you some prince or what?? Dont know what kind of ppls are worse, that harasing with skills or prince/princess like you with your stupid and selfish requests.....i can deal with those first but against prince/princess SE dont implement any tool to deal with cause i dont whant to see that kind of selfish posts, how to deal with it,got it?? :/
