so feeding your chocobo doesnt improve its rating?? mines level 30 n fed it the allowed amount of times between speed/stamina/endurance and only time its rating improves is only when it levels up..
is it supposed to work this way??

If it did go up from feeding then its really based of total stats.
It's based on your Choco's level. Fresh Pedigree 1 Chocos start off at 10 I think? Goes up every time you level.
Pedigree 2 Chocos start off at 15.
No idea, just gotta forge forward and find out.
i hope im wrong but starting to think really only grade 3 food will affect the ratings since just read a post in reddit saying higher pedigree gives random chance for extra boost when feeding instead of grade 2 food giving 2 stats he got 3 ;/ but guess we wont really know til some1 gets to that stage i guess :(
A grade 2 chocobo starts at 15, but he also gains around 40% more rating/stats per level at 2 star, once I get my chocobo to 40 again and can get a grade 3 chocobo I'll see what it gives but from my guessing a chocobo gets 40% more stats per pedigree meaning that a grade 9 would get 5 times as high rating, so a rank 50 grade 9 would have a rating of 200, I'm not entirely sure but I believe food still increases rating but you need quite a bit to increase it.
yeah thats why i asked since didnt make sense increasing stats didnt improve rating ;/ mayb only higher stats really affects rating?? or need the ultimate bred chocobo to hit the 285?? i dont mind working towards it just hoping some1 shares thier inofrmation once they hit it so we know exactly what to aim for XD
tyvm for the replies tho much appreciated :3
so unless im mistaken from what ive read gettin increased stars on hatchlings is based on luck unless higher chance of success if bred with 2 of your own instead of npc 1s??
Don't think that is entirely correct, the NPC chocobos have random stars, to get a chocobo with the highest stars you would want to use ones which has great amount of stars. So to get the ultimate chocobo you'll probably have to breed over and over again refining the chocobos until you get one, so in the end using your own chocobos gives the better result, in the start though using the npc chocobos can both be a positive or a negative, for example you might get a npc chocobo with 4 3 2 2 1 but the new breed might end up with 2 2 2 2 1, but from what I guess is that the choice of star placement is greatly affected by luck.
i see guess ill have to try n see hope its not purely luck since i want high speed/endurance/stamina since there are my favourite stats atm lol
tyvm for the info much appreciated :3
