Hi all, I can't seem to find a way of exiting or conceding a game of Triple Triad to accept a queue that pops. I've missed 2 queues so far today. Next one I start getting penalties. I thought these mini-games were supposed to give us something to do WHILE queueing? But this issue makes playing while waiting on a queue seem like a dangerous proposition...

Yeah, not being able to commence duty when it pops while in a game is one thing - maybe even understandable. But the oversight of not giving an option to forfeit the on-going game to actually commence the duty, that is kinda...er, well, mind-blowing, to put it nicely.

B) Whether considered a mini-game or no, wouldn't we still want the option to at least forfeit a game to get to our queue? That doesn't seem like a lot to ask :) -

Those are the mini-games that are meant to waste time while waiting in queue.
That said, a forfeit option wouldn't be bad. -

I feel like most of the time I would do anything in the gold saucer would be while waiting for duties. If I can't even have a queue running while playing the gold saucer is going to completely lose its purpose for many.

We are looking into improving the Duty Finder as we move forward and we're checking whether or not we can provide measures for when players are matched while being engaged in content (for example, Triple Triad matches, during cutscenes, while crafting, etc.). Hang tight a bit longer and if we should receive more information, we'll be sure to pass it along. -

Updates to duty finder will be very welcome. In particular, I'd like to see an option while crafting to delay accepting DF for an additional 30 seconds or so. To prevent abuse, this would only be available when crafting AND if you let the additional time expire and do not except, you could be locked out.

If your queue pops just start throwing down cards. This isn't FF8 where you lose them, and you may even just win!
I treat them like speed rounds /shrug
It sounds like a Forfeit button would actually be worse than what you can currently do. Forfeit will most likely make you lose your entry fee, whereas even a loss gives you most of it back.... -

if duty pops while im in a TT match i just throw cards anywhere its not a huge loss of mgp and npc takes his turns just as quick so i havent missed a duty pop up so far just doing that

Personally, I lost only one queue while playing triple triad. Afterwards I just placed any card really quickly to end the game and was able to enter DF without any problems. Better than forfeiting the game and you get some MGP back.

The simple solution is to just not match anyone engaged in content for DF groups. Give the player an alert saying they are near the front of the queue and match them as soon as they finish.

You have absolutely no proof that if a Forfeit option was added to aid in the OP's request that you will just automatically "get or lose whatever you'd get or lose on any other type of loss."
And since it is VERY easy to just finish a game and accept your queue before being withdrawn, I don't see why they would even waste development time on this. At all. I have no problems catching queues (and it seems most people in this thread don't have a problem either) and I'm on PS4, constricted by using the D-pad to cycle through my options as opposed to just being able to point and click on anything I want.
You are also not adding in the inherent meaning of forfeit either. To forfeit is to give up, more so than taking a deliberate loss. If it was my decision, I wouldn't reward anyone any amount of MGP for giving up.
