PAX East Hopes

So it sounds like they will have a large presence at this years PAX East. What stuff are you hoping they will reveal, what details on what upcoming systems are you hoping to hear?



I would love to hear more about how specific jobs will change going forward, IE Summoner. What new summons will they get, what will they be good for, FC Global Summons yet/Details? Will the Scholar get new fairies? Will any other classes be getting a secondary Jobs? Yoshi-P Mentioned there might be some incoming changes to the armory system, what will this look like/entail? Will there be any other Classes or Jobs coming in 3.0 that have not yet been announced?

When will they release the new DX11 Benchmark/Chr Creator? What is the new "Crystal Tower" content for 3.0 (we heard about Alexander being the new Coil). How will the relic weapon be carried over for the next 10 levels. Will the armor iLevel continue to grow past i130 in 3.0 or will we start seeing more horizontal progression for gear so the actual level can catch up with the ilevel.

I know some of these questions have had the odd cryptic answer or some minor details mentioned about them many moons ago. I'm hoping to hear some much more current and updated responses to these questions at PAX.

Undoubtedly we will get the expansion release date as well as pricing. Given that March is typically considered the beginning of spring and the expansion is due out in the spring some time, this just makes sense.

I would expect to hear more details about the new jobs. Possibly a starting level for them if they are starting at a level other than 1.

I'll be going to PAX East this year and plan on attending the Yoshi-P panel about Heavensward. It'll probably be just like a live "Letter" since the panel is an hour long and they'll probably have a Q&A session towards the end, but I'm hoping they reveal a little bit more about how the new Jobs for expansion will play, more on what we can expect from the new Alexander raids (esp regarding loot and the difficulties), and primarily an estimated date of release. I'm pretty excited about the Final Fantasy SE presence this year (since last year was meh), and can't wait for the Shiva Battle challenge!

They should be able to. If the expansion is coming at the end of April, announcing it that day will basically give player 2 months notice.

It doesn't really make sense for too much time to pass between 2.55 and 3.0 given that the 2.55 patch is basically equates to a pep rally. Its job is to get people pumped for the expansion. The longer the time between they would run the risk of the hype dying down. They really need that momentum to ride into the expansion. Otherwise they may see a decent number of folks canceling their accounts and just waiting till the expansion launches.

to know to term it does require a base class means? hero job or just a combined main jobs.

I'm hoping for heavensward release date announcement as well as accepting preorders. Also would be nice if dx11 benchmark was released.

Also hoping to hear more about this "Squad" thing they mentioned where you can go in a dungeon with you and a squad of your own npc's you level.

This concept does intrigue me. I have to wonder how the NPC AIs will be scripted. For instance, will they be "smart" enough to avoid mechanics like a player would or is their HP/MP/Defense going to be buffed in a way to just eat the attack?

I had heard they wanted to use the Gambit system for this, as well as choco companions, and magitek. I hope this is correct and I hope they retro fit it for the Choco's.

I thought the squad thing was just an idea they were tossing around and not something they "will" do for sure?

I'm not entirely sure myself. That's why I was hoping to hear more about it at PAX East!

I expect it to be more about 3.0's features and 2.5 Part 2's release date. Hoping for maybe a full-length CGI trailer for Heavensward this time!

Just bought my tickets to go to pax east!! cant wait to check out the booth. I wont be ther on saturday for heavensward though :(
