East Thanalan has a camp called Camp Drybone

Locals talk about how rare and precious water is there and how people pay a fortune for a small sip.

Seems legit.

Except the first week when sightseeing was added <.<

I bought 1,000 bottles of distilled water and came to Camp Drybone.

No one seemed to care.

Seems legit.

Dermatologist say showering everyday will lead to dry cracked skin. So ya only thing I can think of.

Pre-Calamity (i.e. version 1.0), Drybone actually suited it's title, as it was a barren, rocky wasteland mostly devoid of vegetation and water other than the small muddy pond that gave it's name (yes, 'Drybone' is actually the name of a pond in the area). The Calamity however not only changed the landscape, it also changed the weather in Eorzea as well. Hence the reason for the frequent rainstorms in Eastern Thanalan. And before you pass judgement, it was stated in 1.0 that in the distance past, Thanalan actually was originally far more temperate than it is now - in fact, it was heavily forested like the Black Shroud.

Besides, even deserts get rain. ;)

I assumed it was like Dalmasca where it rained during a specific season a lot and then for the rest of the year it was hot and dry.

Yeah XD I tend to go for that sometimes when there seems to have been nothing but rain every time I've been there. Complaining to my FC or LS or skype chat or whatever that "I wish this bl**dy rain season would be over soon D:"

and Drybone isn't D:?

If you do some quest and look at some npcs in drybone you'll see that the area is not the only thing that gets wet ;)
