i have no word..really..
tonight i play as a pld in amdapor hm, we do every boss and arrive without any wipe at the final boss, i start to cast stoneskin (apparently our sch doesn't have the lvl 34 cjn skill), and i get kicked..i don't neither finish to buff..
and this is just tonight, but in any raid, i often see many ppl kicked because of gear, dps, ecc ecc..
i'm here to say this because i love this game, but i leave it..i can't play with the terror to get kicked without reason..i don't say a word for the entire dungeon, and i tank every mob/boss as usually..
personally i prefer when this game was new and the community was adorable, now is full of elitist like every mmo..so, goodbye..

People kick for raids because, let's face it; every fight has an enrage. If your dps isn't getting anywhere close to bypassing the enrage, you don't have many options but to replace unless you're willing to teach the person how to do their rotation. In a static maybe, but not random pugs.
You must not have done any end game when 2.0 first launched. AK and coil had just as many "elitists" as end game does now. Why do you think demon wall got nerfed to hell? I'm sure it has to do more than you just casting stoneskin. They could have been douches who just wanted to get a friend in for the final boss, or perhaps there's other stuff that you just didn't realize during the course of the dungeon. -

No enrage isnt the reason. Unfortunatly theres a disgusting thing trending atm. 3 friends or fc mates or whatever, run a dungeon, and kick the 4th random person on final boss to let another friend join in progress and get his almost free poetics. They rotate who will be the 1 to join in progress and so they only have to run 75% of the dungeons. It happens rarely atm but it´s trending slowly. i´ll also quit if SE won´t be able to handle this abuse till the addon.

My favorite: go through Wanderer's Palace HM, arrive at final boss after smooth, quick progress thus far, and the healer says, "hey, we need to help a friend with his daily," to which I figure he means that 2 or 3 of them need to drop out suddenly. They kick me, presumably to replace me with their friend.

I've been falsely kicked a few times I'm still playing the game and plan to keep playing it's the internet I'm not gonna quit over something silly like that just shrug it off and keep playing.

thank you guys for your opinion, i fell less 'alone'..i had the same impression..i get kicked because they want a friend to finish that dgn..
i personally quit, because i don't have enough free time for do dgn with the risk to get kicked at final boss with no reason..
in my opinion, 'vote to kick' should be removed, or should only be used if someone crash for atleast 10 minutes, or go afk for atleast 5 minutes..not because 3 friends wanna kick one stranger without reason..
i report everything after 1 minute of the fact, but i really doubt that they will do something..

If you really are being kicked without valid reason (cheating, harassment, AFK, or offline) then the best thing you can do is file a GM report against the offending players, and move on with your gaming experience. Provide as much information as you can, including the date/time, instance name, player names and their home servers.
Believe it or not, the GMs do take these reports seriously, and most of the people you encounter in the game are generally decent. Don't let a few rotten ones ruin your game.
It also helps, if you don't already, to surround yourself with other players that think, act, and play like you do. A good Linkshell or Free Company goes a long way in ensuring you never have to meet these offensive people again. -

The first time was a group of French guys that kicked me at Fenrir, no wipes, no complaints, and SR as they requested.... before I was kicked I got a "loltank bye bye" I return to the instance, immediately dismissed, returned for the final time and I saw someone say something about my ilvl 90 boots, but I had an ilvl WAR of 105, which is a completely OP state for snowcloak. And one guy made a mistype to the chat saying that had one more try to get their friend in before I got back in a third time...Quote:

maybe i use the wrong 'word' , i mean, you can kick for afk (but the game need to recognize if the player was really afk, not just for motivation), or disconnected..also i will remove a malus for dps, and keeping the malus for tank and healer..
in any case, i would like to see this feature 'free kick' remove from any game..it's needed because troll can kick right now, and get's their friend in..i see 90 % of the time kick for no apparently reason, and 10 % for afk/offence, ecc ecc..
so in my opinion right now 'vote to kick' is a troll weapon,not a weapon from the party for killing troll.. -

Wait, they vote kicked the tank in front of the last boss? Really? Majority has to vote kick right? I'm not sure why people would be stupid enough to vote kick the tank right before the last boss and rather wait god knows how long for a replacement then just finish the dungeon.

It's odd because I have never had this problem before and god knows how sometimes I can misbehave and be toxic. (to a lesser extent of course, I hate swearing...)
For instance, yesterday I did CT2 and as I was in a hurry, I pulled every bosses and adds with eos and someone ended up marking my fairy with a cross, everyone was amused but no kick. :D
On HM dungeons as well, when I'm bored I go bananas all of a sudden and I end up pulling 6+ adds at once with my pet, nobody is angry at me as long as it works x) -

If you can do the run fast enough from second to last boss to final boss, just don't roll on a piece of loot like someone said until the final boss is pulled if you think that's a possibility. Of course, that doesn't give much time, and they can always deliberately wipe on the final boss, so that doesn't really help much.
This is a clear abuse of the vote kick feature. If this happens to you, you can and should report them. I report players regularly for inappropriate behavior (ie: spamming the name of a female body part along with <se.1> dozens of times in alliance chat during the final boss of WoD, shouting explicit sexual propositions with inappropriate names, extreme cases of "raidrage" (namecalling, personal attacks, threats of physical violence, etc after a wipe), and so on). 10-60 minutes after I make a report, a GM always contacts me. I've never NOT been contacted by a GM shortly after making such a report.
In my report, I include a copy/paste of the offending messages from my chat log with timestamps turned on, I include my server, the place it occurred, and my timezone. They ask a few questions from a straight-forward script, stuff like: they ask to confirm the timezone for my log timestamps, they ask if there's anything else that was said before/after that I wanted to share with them, they ask if there's anything else they can do for me, they tell me to blacklist the person to prevent further trouble from them (which works oh so well in dungeons :P), and they tell me to post on the Official Forums (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/, if you need a link!) if I have any suggestions I would like to share with the community and developers. They then tell me that I have given them enough information for them to investigate <offending player's name> and that they will not be able to share the results of their investigation with me nor any actions taken against them as a result (which totally makes sense for what I hope are obvious reasons).
Side note - GM tells have a distinctive sound that differs from the normal tell noise, you can reply to them with /r just like any other tells, and unlike normal tells, you can reply to them while in a dungeon.
Has anything been done to the people who were in violation of the ToS? I don't know, and I don't particularly care. I don't particularly want people to be banned for behaving disruptively, inappropriately, or cheating, I just want them to stop what they're doing. SE definitely at least gives out emailed warnings to offenders threatening bans if they continue to violate the ToS. I'd think even just that would be enough to stop the majority of inappropriate behavior.
tl;dr: When people violate the ToS (and vote-kick abuse is definitely a violation), report them via the in-game form. Include a timestamped log supporting your claim of abuse, even if it's just a log of nothing being said during the dungeon and then a kick out of the blue - that's still abuse. If you need the names of the players who didn't say anything, either use loot roll messages or check your combat log. Make sure you stay on for a bit afterward so a GM can contact you, though they can talk to you while you're in a dungeon so don't be worried about going right back in. If they can't get in touch with you, it's likely that they will not be able to really do anything, though they will still send you an in-game support message stating that they couldn't get a hold of you that you can reply to.
