Question about Cerberus' Nom Phase

So I've got the mechanics of how the Cerberus fight goes in WoD no problem. I just have a quick question.

Is there some kind of trick to knowing where the Gastric Juice (I believe is the name of the add that makes you mini) spawns? My biggest issue in the fight is getting to said Gastric Juice within an appropriate amount of time to get Mini'd with the rest of the DPS in order to then get eaten in the pink puddle. My problem comes from that I play on the PS4 and can't zoom my camera out just that far that I can see where it spawns quickly (unless of course it spawns in my immediate vicinity). My only real "quick" way of finding it is to highlight it as soon as I see it spawn on the Enemy List, and then quickly look for it on the field where it's highlighted from being targeted. As I'm typing this, it occurs to me also that I'm not sure if it is visible on the minimap, so if it is, sorry!

Basically, I always seem to be the last mini person to get eaten and I feel like I'm not carrying my weight in the fight because of this. Was curious if anyone had any suggestions!

It is not the end of the world of some members of a group do not get eaten, as long as they help kill off the Wolfsbane and some of the others made it into the gut it should be fine. In my experience it tends to end up on back half of the map so if your a caster or ranged DPS it should be easy enough to see if not in front of Cerberus. I cannot see what you see though so do not know how much you can see or how confusing it might be for you. One thing I do in raids and such is I also turn off party member names/pet names too in the options which de-clutters the screen a lot.

The only real hint you get is that someone will get an orange bullseye icon on them (same as Ramuh's Terror/Charm and many other fights) and Cerberus will drop the orb on them so if you see that just keep an eye on that person to know where it spawns.

Edit :nvm never read the post properly half asleep :p if u don't already I suggest use l3 to zoom in on ur target and wouldn't worry about being late being eaten

u get the ppl that think its something else and run around and cause issues, if they just stood still and let everyone stack on them to be shrunk faster it would be so much easier

Well I think that's a perfect trick to try! I honestly never use L3's Lock On feature, but you're correct, in this situation it could help me find it very quickly!

It depends where they are standing. Hopefully they'll reposition if they are close to the boss because it's a massive pain in the backside to get mini and get cleaved by the boss so you enter the stomach with 75% HP and a debuff on you. The second time at least the purple gunk comes out first so the ranged and healers can stack close to it increasing the chance that the juice will drop close to the gunk.

In regards to this (as I've never been targeted): is this the only attack that he has that will throw an orange bull's-eye on someone? If that's the case, I could, as you said, watch for that and should I ever be targeted, I know I can try and position myself in a way to help the party.

It's the only targeted attack he has like that. His other attacks are a frontal cleave on the Tank and anyone standing in front. A rear cone tail swipe literally just called that i think. "Hound of Hell" where he will face a direction and charge forward dealing heavy damage. Manawall for a BLM does block this. The electric balls that will drop on people then make lazer lines where they will zip forward putting a debuff on people for each one they get hit by. "Ultilation" or something like that you need to stack with your party or you get a fear debuff that makes you run around like an idiot. That's about all he does. The adds are far scarier with that poison debuff that if you're not a Tank and you get hit it's probably going to kill you since the attack that inflicts it does heavy damage.

You can also target the gastric juice and then lockon and will immediately see where it's at.
